'Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare' Trailer Is YouTube's Most Disliked Gaming Video Ever

Personally I didn't like the trailer because, even though it was three minutes long, it told us nothing coherent. And that was a REALLY bad cover of Space Oddity.

No fucking shit. What do you think people on YouTube are doing right now?
All I see is people who feel entitled to the remaster purely for dint of the fact that they really want it and its totes unfair that they Activision doesn't offer it seprately as if there was any motivation for them to do so beyond charity. I mean beyond saying "shit sucks sorry fam" I don't really know what you want. Just seems like pointless whining. Start a petition or a movement asking them to sell it seprately. If they see a shitload of people asking for it maybe they will think about separating it down the line.
Or I'll just buy it from G2A for $10 and totally skip over IW, giving some random Russian dude some spending cash.
Also holy fuck you're condescending like damn that was nearly "I can't take you seriously" levels.

Pitching a temper tantrum because a video game they don't like is coming out? That's hardly the sort of feedback that a petition would bring. "Our trailer has a shitload of dislikes" tells them nothing other than the fact that another year passes where people can't contain their raging hateboners for Call of Duty.

That sounds like a good alternative too, definitely better than essentially saying "They owe me that". I don't intend to come off as rude or condescending but I don't know how else to reply to people with attitudes like that.

It gives you a rough idea of the state of things;
* We space now, yeeeeee
* Earth, looking pretty cosy
* Colonies: PISSED
* Combat status: Mtn Dewritos time
So we know that we are now a space faring race, we have established colonies on moons and just kinda in space, and the colonies are autonomous to a point that they actually feel unrepresented by the Earth government enough to fight, and have the resources to do so despite being just colonies.
That's all you really need to know from an early trailer in terms of plot. Do you really want them to give the whole thing away? It'll probably be hilariously predictable anyway. One of two things is likely to happen at the apex of the plot;
1) The colonies capture you or something and make a good point that Earth is in fact being awful, you fight for them
2) The whole thing was a false flag by someone on Earth to justify attacking the colonies for some reason
Gotta have those ~spicy~ plot twists after all.

This is the only CoD trailer with nearly that many dislikes. Obviously people are unhappy with the game or the remastered CoD4 being bundled with it. What exactly would a petition change? Is it not already clear that people are unhappy? People are going to buy the game anyways, but it's obvious people aren't satisfied.

"What would a petition change"
Blizzard is currently in talks with the people who worked on Nostalrius, a vanilla WoW server, to bring back some sort of legacy systems/gameplay back to WoW. They also conceded that vanilla isn't "something you think you want, but don't". This is because over 200,000 people signed a petition. After years of whining on Reddit, Youtube, Battlenet, MMOChampion, and Facepunch they gave ground and created a conversation within weeks because the message was so clear, concise, and well delivered. Their new trailer on youtube having a ton of dislikes tells them nothing. It's clear that people are unhappy but it's lost in the static and noise of people being unhappy every time a CoD game comes out. Organize and focus your efforts or spend the next year screaming into the void. Your choice.

People are unhappy about something, that much is obvious, but dislikes on youtube doesn't really say much beyond that.
A petition or something similar could be a lot more effective because it shows that people are more than just a little dissatisfied -- it takes a bit more effort than hitting the dislike button, plus it can provide a more coherent argument than whatever hell that comment section probably looks like.
Edit
That being said, they probably still wouldn't really give a shit.
Can I just say that the amount of dislikes was brought up by some investors at the latest Activison Conference thing and the CEO of Activison spun it into a positive, saying that:
1. It proves that COD players are passionate,
2. Dislikes mean nothing, since the BO3 trailer had the previous record and went on to be the best selling game in the series, and
3. The inclusion of both games gives players choice in what they want to do.
So don't say that dislikes mean anything, because Acitivison seem pretty set on what they are going to do.
I really do feel like this is just the apex of "I'm going to hate this popular thing because that makes me cool", probably brought on by the increased influence that certain youtubers have over peoples opinions.
I mean, if this were another modern military COD it wouldn't surprise me if just as many people would complain that every game in the series is exactly the same.
We'd be seeing something similar if Halo were still on top.

If thats true it pisses me off
giving players choice would be giving them the choice to buy which game they wanted

Is it going to cost extra for the remastered COD 4? Or is that just bundled with the normal retail price?

You cant get cod4 remastered without buying IW, the bundle with them both is 80 USD
Secondly, of course we know that there are people in our community who are nostalgic for the boots on the ground style gameplay, and that’s why we made Modern Warfare Remastered. But we also have millions of people in our community who want to have new innovative experiences in the game each year, and Infinite Warfare is going to deliver that.
And the good news is is this year we found a way to deliver both in one package while keeping our community together.
I guess this inadvertently showed that IW is not boots on the ground either...

To be fair though, COD was pretty shit since the first game. :v:

How dare you insult Call of Duty 4 like that.
People still get upset that a CoD game comes out every year?
People still post like this?
I'd only get this for the remastered edition of COD4. I feel like a shit ton of other people are going to do the same.
snip
I think they know exactly what they have and it's why they're bundling a remastered CoD4 with it
I didn't see anything wrong with the trailer. It looked million times better than the Black Ops trailers.
Not sure how downvoting a trailer will help with the CoD4 being sold separately. Besides I'm quite sure it will be sold separately in the end, just not at the launch.
