Wasnt this the plot to cabin fever?
I always imagined the bed being the worst place in a hotel. Usually when I get up after staying in one, I just wanna get clean in the shower. Fuck.
Fuck. thanks to this thread ive been putting off having a shower for 30 minutes.
Just think of what's in the water when you swim in a lake/pond/ocean/etc.
But, you can shower after that!
Less bad than they felt after finding out they were drinking it, probably.
people still drink tap?
Reuters is claiming the body's been identified as a Canadian tourist, could add this to OP http://ca.reuters.com/article/domesticNews/idCABRE91I1BY20130220
Clementine don't drink that!
and everyone who drank the water was charged for cannibalism
Wasnt this the plot to cabin fever?
Now we wait for the flesh eating bacteria to mature. I call dibs on that news article.
Reminds me of some horror movie I saw a while back with a little ghost girl, and in the end they find her body in one of those water-tanks on top of roofs. I forget what it's called.
I'm from Vancouver so I was following this story pretty closely since she was reported missing. Nobody's mentioned this video they released soon after she was reported missing. Honestly it just gives me the fucking chills. She looks to be under the influence of something. Friends of mine/friends of friends sad she was really quiet and immigrated during highschool. Who knows why she was staying at the worst part of town. Sad to hear her turn up dead. RIP http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2013/02/13/lapd-hoping-new-video-will-lead-to-missing-canadian-woman/
Also, fyi, all drinking water is full of organic matter.
Wow what a neat way to trivialize drinking water being filled with decomposing human flesh. Next you'll tell me all air is full of particles so that means that breathing air contaminated with asbestos is fine and dandy.

Not that I blame them but obviously there's something going on if they're not just coming out and saying nothing was wrong.
Well that made me shiver a bit. Maybe I should check my local water tower.
Typical americans wanting to sue everybody and everything. None of the guests have gotten sick as of yet but now they're all gonna pretend to be sick and emotionally traumatized.
I work a minimum wage job, that I have had for four fucking years, cleaning literally shit and piss of toilet seats. If someone that went to the place I clean got sick they would sue the fuck out of my company in a heart beat. Sadly they would probably win. I would then be held responsible, and so should the hotel.
Also, the hotel can't really be responsible for somebody else dumping a body in their water tank. As for the water quality, it's actually pretty hard to pin point the source of the problem and more often than not, it's usually from the city source and not your own tank.
Yes they can and should. Fun fact, in America if something happens on a property, the owner is responsible. If someone breaks their leg on my lawn, regardless of how, I am held responsible. So as an American (Capital A btw.) I should be able to do the same thing these large companies do and get what they do.
That's... That's nasty. Reminds me of something I saw on Rotten once. Wasn't pretty. Some of you might have seen it. Supposedly an old man was electrocuted in his bathtub and wasn't found for a few weeks.
people still drink tap?
Believe it or not I drink water multiple times per day. Nothing wrong with it here.
I cringed. I'm paranoid from time to time that if I turn on the tap bloody water or sewage would start pouring out. This is like the worst nightmare for me.
Isn't that an NCIS episode?
I cringed. I'm paranoid from time to time that if I turn on the tap bloody water or sewage would start pouring out. This is like the worst nightmare for me.
Uh why?
Uh why?
Because it would suck
Good god that is so fucking disgusting
Sounds like something from Medium...unfortunately there isn't a magic person to catch whoever did this probably :c
Believe it or not I drink water multiple times per day. Nothing wrong with it here.
I don't drink tap. The tap here in McLean, or Fairfax county in general, is fucking nasty.
I don't drink tap. The tap here in McLean, or Fairfax county in general, is fucking nasty.
Mine smells like gasoline, but it tastes good.
people still drink tap?
I do, daily. Costs like 0.03 cents for a cubic meter, so around 50 billion times cheaper than bottled water, and the water here is pure as hell.
Gotta wonder just how many people got affected by this. It doesn't sound like an expensive hotel where you'd stay for a week, so there's probably a ton of overnight-travellers there. If it had been there for two weeks, that's like, 14 people per room.
I cringed. I'm paranoid from time to time that if I turn on the tap bloody water or sewage would start pouring out. This is like the worst nightmare for me.
Do[sp]n't[/sp] watch the movie "Dark Water" then.
Yeah, and as i said, it's pretty difficult to pin point the source of the problem. After getting the reports, they call the city water company, they say everything is fine. Also, fyi, all drinking water is full of organic matter.

Typical americans wanting to sue everybody and everything. Because a few organic minerals and maybe a few germs in water is the same as an entire woman that's in the water decomposing right?
Are water tanks like this just open top or something? How'd she get into it?
