Mercury? man, first fish and now this, I'm running out of things to eat
Excuse me for not being educated on the subject, but how the hell did they get in there?
Heavy metals tend to bioaccumulate i.e. once they're in your body, they aren't getting out, at least not soon. All kinds of sources for it in the environment, most commonly industrial pollution or various sorts of junk not being properly disposed of e.g. mercury switches and thermometers.
I've had my share of tungsten contact, plus I love tuna.
Don't tell me that stupid bitch Jenny McCarthy was right
That could also mean that autism is related to the body's dissability to extract metals.
I would totally trade my social skills for remembering long numbers in a glimpse.
So, let me get this straight, you are implying that you are socially active and well?
i wish i was autisic
I think we should extract those metals. Tungsten is pretty rare.
I'm fucking rich! Also: This explains why I love Dethklok.
Does that mean Chris-Chan is technically a dirty goldmine?
i wouldn't be surprised if autism was related to metal buildup in the body. lead accumulates in the spine and bones and slowly poisons its victim over an extended period. no clue about the other metals though.
nice, thanks for telling us meanwhile, on-topic, i don't think this will really lead anywhere, you can't really take all of it out of said peoples' systems (?)
how on earth would this not lead anywhere anything that you can find out about what causes or is caused by a disease that isn't fully understood yet is a good thing
Mercury? Oh god, this is going to feed some anti-vaccinators.
except there is no mercury in modern vaccines (i think)
This has already been known for quite a while.
There's an offensive minecraft joke to be made here
I don't think this is the only reason though, there have been clear links made between exposure during pregnancy to Rubella and autism as well (which makes the whole MMR hoax bitterly ironic).
I've always wondered since certain autistic people can remember things really well how well can they learn instruments? does it take vastly less time to learn say, a guitar?
There's an offensive minecraft joke to be made here
Well, you know what they say abuot mining. It's a tough job, nothingh like digital exposure to lead!
Excuse me for not being educated on the subject, but how the hell did they get in there?
Oh what a surprise. Sad. There have been research done in past, for other stuff too. Guess what: http://www.naturalnews.com/035606_methanol_aspartame_toxicity.html http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread852160/pg1 Also CDC is a misleading title, the term "Center for Population Control" is more appropriate to their operations.
i wish i was autisic
I'm pretty sure you don't
Its natural defence against cannibalism Remembering numbers AND toxic blood, its like some kinda super human
You get his PIN too? That might be a good idea for a shitty movie actually, an autistic bank robber, he stammers and can't speak up when telling people to get on the fucking floor :v:

I've always wondered since certain autistic people can remember things really well how well can they learn instruments? does it take vastly less time to learn say, a guitar?
"Learning a guitar" includes a lot. Just because someone can remember a lot does not mean they can use this info. Having photographic memory where you can draw anything you remember is one thing, drawing something custom using experience and knowledge from existing things is a different beast. So in theory learning to play existing songs would be a lot easier for them. But composing original ones is a different question.

But I ran into some guy with autism, who actually is kinda badass at learning new instruments. He usually needs only 3 weeks in order to play a few easy songs.
might as well rename this place to metalpunch
might as well rename this place to metalpunch
Ouch.
i wouldn't be surprised if autism was related to metal buildup in the body. lead accumulates in the spine and bones and slowly poisons its victim over an extended period. no clue about the other metals though.
To be fair, for a time we've had a lot of fuels that had lead as an additive, and there was a lot of lead poisoning in Roman times thanks to old lead piping, so I actually wouldn't be surprised if toxic metals were a factor in learning disorders. Still, at least it's not heavy metal that's a factor, since I do like the rock music.
Take it from a fellow autism fag, trading social skills for situational skills really isn't worth it.
I already suck at socializing anyway so it wouldn't be a big loss.
A chemical difference? I wonder if this could possibly lead to some sort of cure or treatment. What I wouldn't do to be rid of my AS forever...
except there is no mercury in modern vaccines (i think)
You think facts are going to stop the anti vaccine crowd? They've repeatedly shown their ability to be impervious to reason.
Mercury? Oh god, this is going to feed some anti-vaccinators.
there's more mercury in a lunch composed of a tuna fish sub and potato chips
