That garage is the sex. I would have sex with that garage.
Jealous turds.
Normally I'd be on this guy's side, since it is such a cool idea with the car to match, but: If you are going to do something like this, you need to make sure the property you are going to do it on is good for this purpose. It's called 'planning ahead'. You can't just decide one day "I think I'm going to build a bridge on this hillside, fuck my neighbors". Especially when your neighbors are rich people.

Ferris Bueller, you're my hero.
The neighbours should just fuck off. It's his property, his money and his life. Let him use it however he wants to.
I really fucking hate when neighbors gather up a gang to stop you from doing something you love doing in your own property. When we owned a home my grandfather needed us to let him park his RV in our driveway and neighbors would come and tell us that it is too big and that it shouldn't be here. You know what we did? We told them to fuck off.

If he didn't have planning permission he deserves it. I mean sure the one bridge is relatively harmless, but you can't just let anyone build what they want, even if they do own the land, especially if it's potentially dangerous.
This is why he can't have nice things. Having studied construction for three years I can honestly say I don't get why that obviously dangerous bridge was allowed in the first place. I know I would never pass that shit. You can barely see the road. When building anything, you need to check and double-check everything with every possible authority before proceeding. Some cities have really tight rules regarding absolutely everything, from the color of your house to what kind of windowsills you can use. Other residents that can as much as see your house (even if they can barely see a corner) have a say in what goes and what doesn't. Also This pretty much sealed his fate, he didn't make sure if what he was doing was okay. It's his own fault, and now he suffers the consequences.
In Japan on narrow streets we often have these huge mirrors (like what truckers have only larger) at the end of the driveway so you can see oncoming traffic. Why not just install one of those?
If you lived next door to loud construction for five years (!) because some rich asshole wanted a FERRARI BRIDGE for his ostentatious house wouldn't you get a little pissed? Especially if it violates local planning guidelines, which it does, and the article says he only got an exemption because he didn't have anywhere else to park it, which the neighbours claim isn't true (he demolished a 3-car garage).

Jealous Neighbors are Jealous
Because of course money is disposable. If the Government did that, what would stop them from getting an ad in the Superbowl?
Yeah the going rate for mirrors is astronomical yes? No! I mean the guy buy his own damn mirror and have the government approve it. The only reason everyone is probably complaining is just because he looks pompous with his own bridge.
The neighbours should just fuck off. It's his property, his money and his life. Let him use it however he wants to.
No, when regarding things that could affect the neighbour they also should have a say. Welcome to Beureaucracy.
It's his god damn money he is spending, why would anyone care? If I'm reading the article correctly, I'm assuming he's also paying for this bridge?
People are jealous, and when they want something they don't have the take it out on those who do.

I'd be so fucking pissed.

He should have known what kind of time frame would be involved, what kind of zoning problems he may have, what kind of bridge would work(or not work)- all BEFORE starting construction. When years go by and you are still building shit on your property, with all the noise and traffic that involves, you are the dumbass, not your neighbors.
Not going to lie, that's pretty retarded. HURF HURF FERRARI BRIDGE HURF [editline]03:34PM[/editline] It's just some pompous jackass that doesn't think wanting to look good. His fault he's in this situation for having his head so far up his ass.
Residents are also worried about the safety of Schubert backing his Ferrari over the narrow bridge and onto the curving hillside street
He's got plenty of room there.
Thats one rich badass dude.
Everyone of you know damn well if you were rich you'd build a bridge to your third floor garage for your ferrari too.
Fuck his neighbors.
This thread is full of capitalists, down with the bourgeoisie!
Best not be turning it on or he'll end up dead from Carbon Monoxide poisoning.
In Japan on narrow streets we often have these huge mirrors (like what truckers have only larger) at the end of the driveway so you can see oncoming traffic.
