Pure geniosity
It should be an emote
Good idea, but I'm not paying for it. That's like being asked to pay for the use of '!' or '?'. Basically, the way I see it, anything that is going to be incorporated into the English language should be free.
Oops, too bad such a symbol already exists.
Oops, too bad such a symbol already exists.
It was made by a Frenchman! ؟Why should we use there frenchy symbols?!!?
Oops, too bad such a symbol already exists.

also called a snark or zing
:v:
I usually use "(¿?)" at the end of a sentence when writing in spanish, to mark upon a joke/sarcasm... they've got ninja'd :v:
so... you pay a $1.99 to be able to hit ctrl+> and have it do <img src="http://theirimageserver.com/wasteofmoney.png" alt="LOL" /> fuck. i'd pay $100.99 for it
How can you patent a punctuation mark? It's ludicrous. That's like patenting words and making people pay you to use them. The simple solution is just to pick a random unicode character and then popularise that as the SarcMark. For example: I'd much rather pay for the SarcMark than use this&#9632; (Alt+254 btw) We could call it the SarcMarx :P
the png dosent copy well into msn emoticons :( And no one i talk to will know what it means unless they have read this thread, you need to really get out there to change an entire language
It looks like shit and people who can't detect sarcasm on the internet are dumb, unless it really wasn't obvious. I hate when people use [/sarcasm] or italics whatever, pisses me off. What I do is just type in lower case and/or all caps and exaggerate. e.g. WHAT A BITCH fucking end her
the png dosent copy well into msn emoticons :(
It's working just fine on my end... maybe you're doing it wrong :/
I thought we had [/sarcasm] and italics to do that.
Why make people pay money for a new punctuation mark... Great idea&#1567;
i can see this catch on&#1567; (those who don't get the joke, look up irony mark)
Wait, you were being sarcastic about being sarcastic? So you WOULD pay that much for it?
No no no. Two sarcasm marks mean "Why do I even bother."
I can see OpenSarcMark coming up in 5..4..3..2..1..

What the, where did it go?
I like this idea, it's very fresh and innovative&#1567;
:signings:

This looks great. &#1567; Rate me book.
It appears to be an instant hit amongst Facepunch
biggest bullshit ever
Because using is totally overrated.
Most of the time, the point of sarcasm is its subtlety.
