link?
Sorry, with the removal of the search-function for blues I can't look for the thread. I still know it was in France and the judge said that he'd shudder of the thought of what the guy would do to someone looking at him the wrong way on the street.
Ban videogames
Reminds the time a guy in a cyber cafe in Korea killed the other guy next to him with a knife over a Counter Strike game.
IIRC he didn't die, he just had a kitchen knife stuck in his head and he went to the hospital.
This attacker is probably from terrokkar, ended up stacking spirit instead of Crit, good job too I suppose that his DPS is sub standard.....otherwise it could have been worse
Did he drop any good loot?

By the time he gets out of jail there won't be any WoW servers still around.
By the time he gets out of jail there won't be any WoW servers still around.
I bet there will still be active servers. Everquest just recently went F2P after all.
By the time he gets out of jail there won't be any WoW servers still around.
there will be private servers most likely

Rather interestingly I can't help but ask; Doesn't anyone else think that the kid in the article looks exactly like Walt Junior? Not the best comparison but I couldn't help but see the similarity. Also, I can't stand what WoW does to some people. There was this kid I used to know a while back... His family was a good friend to ours, so I was always over there and since I've always been good with computers, I would help build them their new systems and whatnot over the years, and this kid would help out and show a real interest. As he grew up, WoW came out and through the dickheads at school he got into playing it. Fast forward to today, and he's over 20, still playing it, obese, recluse, and suffers from random mood swings. All shit that started once he started playing WoW. And yes you can waffle on and on about parenting and whatnot, but at the end of the day for some parents (and these guys are the nicest folk on earth) it can be extremely hard to understand the nature of why their child acts the way they do. They tried limiting time or weekly bans from the game (and games in general) but all that does it cause more lashing out and more resentment towards them from their child. It's a remarkably tough thing to deal with... I got to see this smart, promising kid go from potential galore to utterly useless in a pretty short space of time. Really sad thing to see... But that's what games (and their associated addictions and peer pressures) can do to kids these days. It's like crack for kids.

Usually when this shit happens he will one day or another become a shut-in, he just hasn't found his escape yet.
Kill those devs because they made an addicting game!
WoW isn't to blame, it's the guy himself. Usually when this shit happens he will one day or another become a shut-in, he just hasn't found his escape yet.
I understand that. I guess WoW is the example in point here because of it's sheer 'size' - the majority of gaming-related mishaps typically revolve around people playing World of Warcraft. I guess that's to be expected when you've got many MILLIONS of people playing it...
believe it or not some people have self-control issues!! i know this might come as a shock to you but not everyone who plays wow gains 20lbs for each month they play.
Not sure what your problem is, there's no need to get all angsty about it... If you play WoW and you have no problems, then that's fine, but you don't have to attack others to try and defend it... we get it. And please don't insinuate that I'm generalizing the results of this one kid I've talked about as if they were the norm for all 4 or 5 million people playing it, because that's just idiotic. I'm merely describing my own personal observations of the people I've known who have played this game and turned out this way - I can't help it if it fits what you perceive to be some kind of silly stereotype. I feel genuinely sorry for some of the people addicted to this game.
What the hell? He looks like Walter Jr. from BB.
aggravated assault and assault with a weapon
I'd say that was attempted murder
That kid is probably going insane knowing he will never play the game for a long ass time. Most important thing in his head right now is probably that he is missing his daily raids.
nerdrage got real
I live 10 minutes away from Peterborough.
Well how's he going to raid now?
Cautiously.

This game is able to get a hold of people so much that it can control their lives, they're going to have to spend some time adjusting to a life without WoW. It's pretty depressing actually.
