We flew our B2's from Missouri to Libya and Back nonstop the other day... Of course that's how we use our B2's .. Fucking things require climate controlled hangers and special maint. crews and really, who wants to put 2 Billion a piece aircraft anywhere NEAR fighting... our entire stock of Tomahawk Missiles cost the same as a single B2
Makes this cringe worthy:
I could imagine an episode there, it'd be the last
the challenge would be to race the RAF to tripoli
When asked how long the British fighter pilots will continue to operate in Libya, Air Vice Marshal Bagwell said: "You'll have to ask Colonel Gaddafi."
I hope the Air Vice Marshal actually said that (whilst putting on sunglasses)

When the mission is supported: We met with our brave top gun pilots When the mission is ambiguous: We visited RAF fighter pilots in the area
Don't start celebrating yet. The rebels still need to push to and take Tripoli, and get rid of Gaddafi. At the moment, they're neither equipped or organized enough. It would be nice to see the coalition start training them and arming them, but that comes with a fair few problems, not least of which being that their involvement deepens.
I agree with this but feel some strange need to elaborate my view. I think we need to be careful with our relationship with them. The United States gave the Taliban guns and training to fight off the Soviets and that did not turn out to well. Libyan reform and liberation is too important to keep guns out of their hands in my opinion, its just whenever weapons are given so is the risk of having them pointed back at us. The rebels have a legitimate cause now, but can they be trusted with guns when they have no cause.
