It shouldn't matter if she was standby or not, if you pay for one seat, you get one seat, no special treatment for fatties. They should buy the extra seat in advance.

I can't believe the woman who got out of the plane had to hide her name to be sure no one would harass her for being "insensitive"... Instead of her I would just have looked at this fatty right in the eyes, and said "deal with it, pig-head !". Mathematically, I can understand why they did it. If they would have bumped the fat person, they would have 1 empty seat on the first flight, and the fattie would take up 2 seats on the second flight. Since they let the fattie fly first, there are no empty seats on the first flight, and only 1 seat is used one the second. Not saying I'm okay with the decision, I just know that the airline companies are totally anal about getting the maximum profits, (like how they constantly overbook flights), so it makes sense that they did this.

It's not really [B]that terrible[/B], considering the woman was on a standby ticket, which means if the fatty came earlier she wouldn't be put on the plane at all (she would be moved to the next aviable flight, [B]standby ticket flying as it always goes[/B]). It seems like she paid for that place. I don't see why they didn't catch up on the idea to charge for the seats they are [B]using[/B] though.
