I can't tell what's worse: that he raped a 6-month old baby, or that he did it knowing he has HIV. Sad thing is chances are the baby will catch it, I'm assuming he wasn't using a condom.

Also since the level of education is often lower, and the prevalence of superstition is often higher in underdeveloped countries, it would seem plausible that people in those environments could believe something like that.

I can understand why an impoverished African peasant might believe such a story, but I have a much harder time believing someone who grew up in the united states would believe the same. (because if you live in a developed country presumably you've at least had jr. high level sexual education. Whatever that means in the US these days.)
