I don't want tits to become commonplace because I like being turned on by them
Awe, no Arkansas participation?
Welp, it's for the best.

i'm so sorry that your boner can't be top priority
The law might be hypocritical but it isn't unfounded. It's instinctual that men get turned on by breasts (and curves in general), it's part of our evolution.
But why should that mean that women have to cover themselves? See what I mean?

Woah, already four pages? I'm late.
gay men love boobs too, just not the way straight guys do. Everyone loves boobs

I shit you not, I asked the same question to my girlfriend the last time I visited her place, and she said the same thing, WORD for WORD.
Don't worry, I know you don't need to be asleep to do that.

Just because you'd like to think I'm an awful person to validate your opinions, doesn't make that opinion true.
Ambien is a hell of a drug.
there's going to be so much more bad than good tho...
This is nothing. In LA we always have a bike-a-thon of completely naked bikers going through some of the major streets.
One of my coworkers made a joke about his dick bouncing and getting caught in the bike chain.

It takes effort (time and getting to know me) before I even consider a sexual encounter, and even then it's just a fun thing to do. I'd honestly rather date, go to the movies, or just cuddle with someone than fuck their brains out.

This is not uncommon, I believe you may have demisexual tendencies.
A demisexual is a person who does not experience sexual attraction unless they form a strong emotional connection with someone...
...In general, demisexuals are not sexually attracted to anyone of any gender; however, when a demisexual is emotionally connected to someone else (whether the feelings are romantic love or deep friendship), the demisexual experiences sexual attraction and desire, but only towards the specific partner or partners.
That is weirdly enlightening to know. Honestly I feel the same way. I am straight, but have almost no desire for actual sex. Personally a relationship is much more important. Thanks for posting that.

I learned about it when someone posted about it on here a while back. So I guess now it is your job to bring it up in a few months and keep the cycle going.
boobies
my question still remains
is this really a problem with our society?
does it really bother people?
Sorry our culture is this way lets change other things too.
just cause you want to see some titties

I am not saying this from a sexual or bias standpoint
No, my friend. I assure it's quite the opposite.
Judging by your immaturity, it's you why wants to see the 'titties'.
Even if full nudity was legal, people would still wear clothes. After all, there IS an actual logical reason for why humans started wearing clothing in the first place so...

plus if no one wore clothes buses would start smelling of buttsweat :(

Being topless is legal in Canada but no one does it.
The laws are hypocritical, but something just feels unnerving to me about the whole idea. To be honest though, this is probably just because of the way society has brought me up. Good for them I guess.
This is not uncommon, I believe you may have demisexual tendencies.
I think I'm the opposite of that.
The law is hypocritical but can't they just do something else? Like that girl said, the right to show your tits in public should be the last thing on your list of priorities if you're a woman.
I think the idea is to raise attention about it. I for one am going to print of small pamphlets and ride around my campus with a shemagh and X's over my nipples (I'm a guy).
where's my day to waggle my balls around ye old town square?
Puritanism and the like declaring nudity to be an embrace of Satan's sinful ways.
I personally have never found nudity to be very sexual (it's more about WHO I am into than what I am into). If I see a dick, it means I saw a dick. Big whoop. Same goes for breasts and the nefarious vagina. To me, it's just a human sans clothing. Others look at it however, and see temptation incarnate (both gay and straight men alike) and can't not get an erection and start dry-humping at the sight of nudity.
I personally don't understand it, as people have never really crossed my mind as 'sex objects'. Sex is fun, and I do it with people I am particularly fond of, but no particular class of person (male or female, regardless of their state of attire) has ever struck me as 'sexual by virtue of existence'.
It takes effort (time and getting to know me) before I even consider a sexual encounter, and even then it's just a fun thing to do. I'd honestly rather date, go to the movies, or just cuddle with someone than fuck their brains out.
At least the prior lets me get to know someone rather than just letting me see what it's like when they are slurring, yawning, and need help to the shower and fall asleep in the bathtub, in some kind of sex-induced coma that I have to responsibly wake them from, and lead them to bed so they can pass out properly. [sp]<--- Has happened more times with me than you'd believe[/sp]
I think the discouragement of public nudity has more to do with the way we define relationships than it does with puritanism. If you're in a society that values monogamy at all (even outside the context of marriage) then relationships become defined by exclusivity. The logical conclusion is that sexuality in general becomes more private as it becomes more and more encouraged to keep it between you and your partner. I'll certainly admit that the puritans took it too far, and maybe this is a bit centrist on my part, but I really don't like the idea of a society where relationships lose their definition.
where's my day to waggle my balls around ye old town square?
pls no
I'm on so much hormones I'd be the circus attraction as people point and laugh at how un-proportionally big the gilla monster hanging off my groin is compared to my babby like balls
Nobody even takes part in this...
And it's not hypocritical. Women have organs there that society as a VAST majority deem sexual in nature (even though it's honestly just a feeding mechanism but whatever we don't live in that society)
Why not just cover up. Shirts never hurt anybody. I hate seeing guys shirtless too...
I get what they're doing but honestly, it's a sexual body part. Maybe instead of this shit they should work to provide a more realistic vision of women's breasts and body image. This thing will never take off and become a legitimate movement if they just encourage people to go topless and scare parents, make couples feel awkward, and make children confused.
But like they said earlier in the thread, this is a fucking dumb movement. Go work for more important women's rights movements like, uh, I don't know, equal pay... workplace equality, justice equality... not the fucking right to go topless (which nobody ever does).

sums it up.
This is pretty fucking stupid. Only feminists who think they get oppressed wearing a bra think this is something important. I really don't think there are a lot of women who would like to walk around topless.
theres movements for equal pay, workplace equality and justice equality as well, and im sure that many who take part in this also take part in the others
just because you dont see the point doesnt mean its a dumb protest
people can see the point and still call it a dumb protest
All the other things you mentioned are actually of tangible worth, getting your tits out because ~fuck society~ is kind of silly. I see the point. I understand what they are trying to achieve.

yeah, and some men prefer to keep their shirt on too, but they're not legally bound to stay clothed!!!

its less of 'fuck society' and more of 'hey, can women not be adhered to a double standard, thank you'
