I can't even think of 1 game that you could legitimately report for child exploitation
Wouldn't it simply be better to hire fifteen people to vet games from greenlight?
The future of Steam is letting ANYONE post their games there. They wanna get rid of Greenlight entirely. But before doing that they need to add a bunch of things so their customers can curate their store better and so that customers can help each other finding games they like. Tagging + this are some steps, the final goal is to have many user/developer created/curated stores.

Rust.
Hopefully it'll only affect bad indie games.
Steam is starting to get plagued with blunders like Garry's Incident and Guise of the Wolf.

I don't know about you, but that sounds kind of horrible. I at least hope you can filter them out somehow. I still want a filter for Early Access.
oh god GTA V is never going to be on Steam now...
Oh no now go go nippon will get taken off :(
That [del]game[/del] actually doesn't violate any of those rules, it's just shit
one has to wonder though with the amount of paperwork people have to do to get onto steam, how likely is it that some fraudulent game would even get on there. probably just futureproofing themselves since one steamOS and steamboxes take off they're going to have to streamline (by that i mean gut) their approval process
these jokes are still really funny, keep up the good work guys!
but in actuality the only real large group of people who will attempt to spam-flag games are probably people from 4chan, just like what happened with the community tags!
also, great job valve! now you don't need to hire anybody to do testing, just let people find out their games are unbroken and playable after they buy them!

good thing they're kind enough to give out one free refund you have to beg like a dog for : ^ )
He's right, though. They're removing any work for themselves to do and just pushing it onto their customers.
Hate speech? Don't a lot of games have that kind of thing in it?
Hate speech would be like KKK Simulator 2014
I don't see why you guys think moderation is going to suffer because they added a reporting system. I think the idea is to let anyone publish their games, and let the community help with the moderation of it, I only see these changes as a good thing. They'r going to need some kind of new system to deal with the increased amount of content.
I know they're going to get shitloads of false positives. Even with the review system, you can already see how stupid some people are. A lot of negative reviews for games say "does not work on any computer" or "it will ALWAYS corrupt EVERY save file you have" and now these delusional people have an even more direct channel for their misguided complaints.
Needs one for broken, unoptimized games that don't work for anyone.
CoD Ghosts, I'm looking at you.

Properly labeled... uh.. I guess?
Well, it was nice having Aliens: Colonial Marines on my account.
[sp]Not really, but i still paid for it and still want to keep it, even if it was made of crap and lies[/sp]
time to report all the anime games
Wouldn't it simply be better to hire fifteen people to vet games from greenlight?
valve spend money for their users to have a better experience?!
I can't wait for all those cool nerds to report gone home and the ensuing shit-storm from said cool nerds reporting gone home!
What if they ban accounts for fake reports?
I don't care about shitty game, but I can't take freaking false-advertising games.
We need a button for games that are having issues running on modern systems. The PC port of GTA Vice City hasn't been updated in at least 11 years and is creaking at the seems on modern Operating Systems. (Mouse issues, framerate issues and stretched HUD) Its frustrating because a year or two ago Android and iOS got a nice new version of it and they didn't get the porting team to help out the PC version.
Theres a game that doesn't even have an .exe so literally no one can play it.
What game is this? I want it.

moderation has already gone down the drain since green light, anything else that might reduce moderation from valve on to users I see as a bad thing really.
Oh dear.
Valve, we don't live in a perfect world sadly and this concept would only work in such a world(expect for the fact people wouldn't make these games).
Sorry but we have all seen what happened to the tags, sure it was funny BUT it wasn't really good.
But Valve should just hire people for this stuff since we all know that the general public will abuse the shit out of this system.

So you want to buy the game equivalent of a brainless corpse?
