So you want to buy the game equivalent of a brainless corpse?
I dunno it could be a fine curiosity to have.

Could serve as a fine doorstop
There is no proof whatsoever that this is linked to an automated system. Valve hasn't clarified this feature to us yet so let's not jump to conclusions.
Isn't this the sorta shit Valve should be doing before they start selling the game?
It wouldn't go down well if they said "oh sorry about selling that game that turned out to be full of malware, we had to wait for the community to report it"
Reporting War Z for being offensive....to my heart :(
i don't see the point in the offensive, hate speech, adult content, pornography or defamatory labels since those are things they already know about when they publish the game and an age rating is applied to it as so
I can imagine some right wing organization making a bunch of steam accounts to they can spam flags on every big mainstream game that comes out where a character gets so much as a nosebleed.
Please tell me you're joking... Considering the right tends to support guns and a plethora of other things, I'd be more concerned over Peta flagging the fuck out of games like Skyrim for being able to kill animals.
The future of Steam is letting ANYONE post their games there. They wanna get rid of Greenlight entirely. But before doing that they need to add a bunch of things so their customers can curate their store better and so that customers can help each other finding games they like. Tagging + this are some steps, the final goal is to have many user/developer created/curated stores.
I know Valve think this is a good idea, but it really isn't. Steam will just get clogged up with so much shit if it becomes deregulated, and it'll probably ruin the name.
People seem to be complaining alot for a feature that's not even implemented yet.

what's wrong with that? imagine how city planning would be if shit was implemented before getting feedback
How do I exploit a child in a videogame?
Can I get a guide?
I just want to report everything on greenlight

The issue is for games that are labelled incorrectly or not at all.
This seems to be part of the whole "Community run Steam detached from Valve" concept GabeN kept raving about in the last year or so.
Whos gonna report the games anyway? Like.. If you don't like the game's content... Just don't play it? Its not that hard. Unless they're doing it for like.. Rating purposes?
Child Exploitation? RIP Facepunch, Gmod and Rust will be taken down. And really? offensive? If this gets Postal 2 removed, I am going to be pissed.
Wouldn't it simply be better to hire fifteen people to vet games from greenlight?
No because they're obviously taking steps to make steam as hands off as possible. The more work they can get their users to do for them, the better. I'm sure they have some algorithm set up to monitor reports and let them know which games they actually need to look in to.
these jokes are still really funny, keep up the good work guys!
but in actuality the only real large group of people who will attempt to spam-flag games are probably people from 4chan, just like what happened with the community tags!

i can always depend on you to take action against even the slightest negative reference to tumblr, milkandcooki!

Lucky for you, steam guides were added for just this purpose!
So you want to buy the game equivalent of a brainless corpse?
I want to know what it is, for the time-honored tradition of examining it while poking with a stick.
It's mostly troubling when most of the reporting reasons are based on the content of the game. The issue is easily solved with minimal research, especially if we're using a gaming medium like the PC.

I find it completely amazing that a bunch of people got together and invested time into that.
Cool. More proof Valve has zero desire to actually verify the products they themselves sell. It's now up to the community to flag this stuff down instead. After they buy it, of course.
No refunds either.
Valve doing things? What are you talking about.
Watch as all COD games get flagged with "child exploitation"
