If these guys could figure out how to do it, then other people can too. Look at nuclear weapons, North Koreans have those and they can't even figure out how to grow enough food to keep from starving. So telling these guys to censor their paper is ridiculous. But it's ridiculous in a typical way. Whenever there is a flaw in the system, the people in charge of the system always say "Don't talk about the flaw, don't talk about the flaw!" not "Hey everyone, let's talk about this flaw and how we can fix it!". One of those approaches is productive, the other one idiotic.
