Guys can we get off the fact that it was for an F-18? Goddamn sidewinders can be launched from ANY NATO aircraft. It could have been from an A-10 for all we know.
Royal Aussie Air Force. [editline]31st August 2012[/editline] Also "any NATO aircraft" isn't even true. When was the last time you heard of C-5 Galaxies packing Sidewinders?
If I had a disarmed missile, I'd use it as a coffee table.
I wonder how he could have gotten one.
Woke up to a crashing sound and found his Malibu's bumper was smashed :v: Seems legit
I don't get it. If it's disarmed with no explosives, what's the problem? Every army surplus store in America has deactivated shells, grenades, etc, why would it be different there?
If I had a disarmed missile, I'd use it as a coffee table.
that'd be a really shitty coffee table
that'd be a really shitty coffee table
Or just have it in a corner or something. Just think of the reactions when showing someone around the house "..And in here we have the living room with the fireplace, and next to it a Sidewinder missile"

I don't know about you guys, and I come from a military background, but why the hell would you want this mounted on your wall? I guess converted into something would be interesting but incredibly tacky looking. This place definitely isn't a place for closet interior designers.
