Yeah I tried getting through to them but they said there wasn't a lot they could do etc. It's one less vote for Labour.
If your constituency loses by 1 vote

Song if May loses, originally written for Thatcher.
So I got back from the polling station and they said I wasn't registered, but I did register at a new address a couple of days before registering closed. They claimed I registered the day afterwards, which is nonsense on their end. The problem is I'm not sure how to even check when I registered, I remember putting on a mobile number but not sure on an email address.
Did you get a poll card in the post after you registered?
I live in an area that's, like, 99% old people so I think I'm in a blue seat zone.

Hope you still voted
I live in one of these safest Tory seats in the UK (Norfolk) but I voted labour anyway because fuck the conversatives.
Whoever wins, I'm getting fucking trashed tonight.
Hope you still voted
There was too much of a conspiracy against me getting to the polling station for me not to vote.
Just one thing when we get exit poll results. I don't know about anyone else, but I've never been exit polled and never saw any poll gathering staff at anything I've voted for. So they aren't thorough or entirely representative. It implies at least a margin of error but perhaps a glaring error... wait for the actual announcement.
Me and my girlfriend just voted Labour. :)
Huge amount of old people were at the polling station, probably gonna be a Tory majority lmao
same here, my constituency is basically a guaranteed Tory seat and I live in a relatively small village so every time I've gone to vote I've never even seen someone even remotely close to my age. just hordes of old fuckers.
It'll be a sad day if the Tories end up winning, but there will still be serious props to young Brits for getting Corbyn to the 'second place', so to speak. Many countries are years away from a candidate like that being considered worth worrying about.
Needless to say tomorrow is going to be an interesting day at work...
Done my bit for Team JC. Officer said they were clocked in as 'busy' today despite the weather.
Yep, almost all of them are people wanting to show their arse for some reason...
Elections 2017 V.Asspocalypse
Conservatives held my area in last years general election by around 6% of the vote. Voted for Labour but feeling a little disheartened at the chances of winning by the amount of elderly people I saw. It was still fairly early however (around 2pm) so I guess I can still hold some hope as it wouldn't be when most people would be able to vote due to other commitments (work etc).
Silly that a bit of drizzle is stopping people from doing a 5 minute task.

The elderly who vote tory are basically voting to have their winter fuel allowances and bus passes taken away and their pensions crushed. Oh well, hey - at least that IRA sympathiser isn't going to be PM!!!
Voted labour. Now all I can do is hope

Maybe it's their own legal method of euthanaisa
I just heard my mother on the phone "telling my sister what each party stands for" with the most biased, propaganda anti-labour bile spewing I've ever heard. When I tell her my sister should decide for herself, she says that's what she's letting her do whilst continuing to spout a bunch of lies.
We are not a rich family. We stand to lose a lot if the conservatives get into power, and my brainwashed Sun-reading mother decides to point the dagger at her own foot. Fuck this country honestly

A game two can play.

Exit polls are performed in constituencies that are representative of the country as a whole that tend to swing with the tide and are usually the closest in vote share to the final result. The result is then extrapolated to different constituencies, factoring in historical turnout and demographics. Exit polls are usually very accurate, they were within five seats of the Tories last time. They don't poll every single constituency, let alone every single polling station, because that would take too much time.
Feeling sick just waiting for the exit polls/results. My parents and brother have voted labour with me, but i'm still fucking terrified. Further NHS cuts could be disastrous for me, seeing as i'm trans, and May's draconian plans for the web are even more terrifying.
Today both Comey give testimony and UK have their General Election.
What a day.
When are the results?

10pm UK time, so I assume that'd be around midnight for you.

Yeah, I feel pretty ill too. Don't know how I'm going to sleep tonight. Don't know how I'll sleep going forward if the Tories win because of the depth of threat I feel to my life and family.

There is a ban on any polls, campaigning etc until 10pm. After that, the first exit polls will be released which will give a strong idea of where we're headed and the actual result should be known well enough by 4am tomorrow (all times BST).
I did my duty and voted for Corbyn.

Fuck this is gonna be depressing if Tories win.
I wonder if my GF will manage to get her degree before shit goes down with Brexit and co.
I eagerly await my Kolkhoz assignment and bread rations, товарищи

She should be fine if she's started or starts this or next year, I think. She might not get to stay after or work for periods of it, but I highly doubt they'd kick her out.
