PLEASE BE TRUE
OH MY FUCKING GOD IT COULD HAPPEN
I'm fucking shaking
What the fuck are those exit polls? Did all of Scotland and Wales tactically vote Labour?
How accurate is the exit polls in Britain?
Yesssss this is the best we could hope for. Starve the Tories of a majority, every other party is anti austerity, this could stop a lot of bad shit. Please let this be accurate. I mean id prefer a bigger labour representation but we'll see
How accurate is the exit polls in Britain?
theby've been right about the last 5 elections
Hung parliament says the exit poll, get fucked May.
Sadly not as huge as it sounds, Lib Dems will just go bounce on Tory cock, again.
(I have this on pretty good authority because I work with a Lib Dem councillor and she makes no bones about that being her party's call in a situation like this. They view stability of the country as paramount over any kind of moral stance. And I don't think many people were paying attention but in the council elections in Scotland they did precisely that, because the "SNP are EVIL!")
Well, you shouldn't put too much faith in them, but there's certainly nothing negative about an exit poll showing such a result. Good luck.
wonder if the coalition of chaos will actually happen
How accurate is the exit polls in Britain?
The last exit poll predicted 316 Tory seats, but they ended up with 330. It's possible the case will be the same tonight.

If lib dems teamed up with them again then I think that would be the end of them. Their manifesto stated they wouldn't coalition with anyone. Even if Tories do get in again, they have to coalition to get anything done which will certainly tone down their policies a lot at least.
I'm embarrassingly uneducated about our own parliament, what's a hung parliament, and how will it have an effect on Mao's dystopian dreams?

A hung parliament basically means that no one party has an overall majority. So to pass any legislation through they would need to convince members of other parties to vote for it, rather than being able to do whatever they want.

where no party has an absolute majority over every other party combined (so even if all tories agree on something, they have to get outside approval for legislation to pass)
i fucking love bbc election graphics

sounds like the equivalent of a minority here, dont know why the UK calls it "hung"
Holy shit. I need to sleep. I thought this would be done and dusted. Exciting.
The large applause from UKIP getting zero votes was heartwarming.

We said that last time, and people are still voting for them. They'll bounce back, they're really good at that, for some reason.
I honestly don't know why anyone trusts them at this point.
And as said, they're already doing it in Scotland in the local councils.

To be honest, this isn't too bad besides the SNP losses.
Lib dem bounce on Tory cock for 5 years (but keep them moderate in terms of human rights etc); brexit turns into a shitshow and Tories don't get elected again for 20 years. Result was strong for corbyn, leaving him party leader.
