Well, it was a good idea for theresa to call the election when she did - but she didn't carry it through
Right? Wouldn't have looked so bright after the inevitable summer heat wave killed off half her constituents.
Okay that does it with the geriatricophobia for me today. Best of luck, roastbeefs.

Wait seriously

Lib Dems have apparently said that no matter what they'll be the opposition. I don't actually know how that works or makes sense, and hopefully it is just empty words.
We also need to wait for the actual results, margin of error is pretty big on exit polls.
I hope those fucking cunts don't get a majority, I pray.
The BBC have got out their "coalition builder" :v:

I supported lib dems and I'd have no problem with them going with Labour just so may doesn't get in power, from what Farron has said though it's unlikely.
eagerly awaiting the results from here in Germany. certainly hoping the best for chicken corbyn bleu I mean, Jeremy Corbyn
I've learned so much more about British politics in the past three days than I think I learned throughout my entire public schooling. it's been rather nice to focus on something that isn't Gronald Frump
Can't happen, you need at least 326 to win
No, It's actually 330 to win majority.
Wait seriously
No. Result is likely gonna be an outright tory win or a hung parliament.
No, It's actually 330 to win majority.
Half of NI (plus the speaker) don't take their seats, so 326 is the conventional requirement for a realistic majority.
With pretty much all the other parties yes.
That'd require DUP to side with them, which is about as likely as pigs flying. Likely the Tories will form a coalition with DUP if there really is a hung parliament.
How large are chances of the Conservatives accepting a minority Labour alliance government?

Which wouldn't get them enough seats for a majority. If the exit poll is correct there's no chance of any coalition, I think.
How large are chances of the Conservatives accepting a minority Labout alliance government?
If they are in any position to stop it, they will form their own coalition or minority. Biggest party by convention gets 'first dibs'. If Tories + allies don't make 326 seats there's nothing they can do to stop a left wing alliance reaching 326.
When hell freezes over
And that's just for them to even consider it.
So how's it lookin? Should I just pop down the pub for a pint and wait for this all to blow over?

Small Tory Majority or a properly hung parliament.
Probably best go get that pint.
Which wouldn't get them enough seats for a majority. If the exit poll is correct there's no chance of any coalition, I think.
Well I imagine they'll get a few more seats than the exit poll predicted, much like last year, so at worst they'd be 2-3 seats below.

With the current state of affairs regarding politics nothing is impossible..
First win is Labour, but it's Newcastle so it was basically guaranteed.
How large are chances of the Conservatives accepting a minority Labour alliance government?
When Heat Death occurs.
Newcastle;
1812 Lib Dem
9134 Con
1482 UKIP
24000 Labour
Extra 10% turnout in Newcastle compared to the 2015 result.
woooooo 1-0 Labour! undefeated so far :v:
Based geordies
Looks like the empire is gonna have to wait.
Just the prospect of Tories losing 1 seat is a victory, losing 17+ is a miracle. I'm glad to see June become the end of May.
