Another Labour hold, Cons eating up UKIP
Robots have invaded the BBC
2-0 Labour. Victory guaranteed, May giving concession speech.
Looking for pointers here, how often exactly do people make puns about the parliament being hung as a sexual inuendo? I need that bit of info for english civilisation class.
Hopefully Labour is doing better than the exit poll.
so is the UK sort of like the US in terms of elections, where the first couple results come in and then there's a good long wait until the next ones? or should I keep the TV on because results can come at any time?
counting goes on overnight all the way until about 4/5 am

Most results won't come in until 2-6am GMT+1.

Surprisingly little.

Other way around actually, Conservatives doing better than the exit polls predicted in what were safe Labour seats.

Yeah, not good.
Looks like the empire is gonna have to wait.
Just the prospect of Tories losing 1 seat is a victory, losing 17+ is a miracle. I'm glad to see June become the end of May.
Can I just point out this brilliant piece of wordplay? :v:
REALLY hope May gets to eat shit.

I honestly don't think I've heard anyone make the connection before. Probably because the last time we had a hung parliament predates 'hung' being used in that context.

It's not mine sadly.

I heard it in 2010. Before that, perhaps it predated.
URIP

Which is pretty bad for Labour's chances, I'd assume?
Ukip took votes from both major parties so it's not that bad but it'll swing things a small amount but not majorly.
This is not good.

Let's see how it holds up. Exit polls are a bit unpredictable in massive strongholds like the 2 results so far.
YARP says polling gentleman.

Kind of cancels out as those seats would have been used to bolster the tories anyway.
I reckon Conservatives will get 330 - 335 seats.
Really, only 2 seats isn't much to base the accuracy of the exit polls on. Wait until more results come in to get back to being depressed.

Second this. They're based off polling in marginal seats and just projected onto safe ones.

We could be saying goodbye to Nick Clegg, was only a 2500 majority in 2015.
I really hope we don't see a conservative majority.
At least give a minority, please.

Would be interesting to see Clegg lose his seat to labour.
Remember Nigel conceded defeat before the end of the EU referendum counts, and they ended up fucking the entire country! Anything can happen if you just believe.
