LAB - 80 CON - 63 SNP - 13 DUP - 4 PC - 2 LD - 0
Good gains by Labour, but not enough.
Not surprised by this at all Southport has always been very Conservative mostly due to its older population and high wealth.

This is actually heartbreaking
I'm hoping the reason the SNP are losing seats is because people wrongly voted labour thinking they were voting for Corbyn. I know I stopped a few people from doing that.
The thought of Scottish people voting conservative disturbs me. My family are getting straight up raped by conservative policy - no disabilities allowed. If my parents have to start paying for medication, they're going to run out of money, become homeless and go clinically insane with the pain they suffer.
Fuck the Tories man.
A few pages back, a few of us Scots on the forum weighed in on why it happened. As an Ecologist (With an EU national partner), Tories are about the worst party possible (especially with their hard brexit stance) for me too, so I feel your pain.

Punished Clegg
This has been on par with SpaceX launches in terms of excitement, never thought I'd get into Politics this much but this has been fun.
3 hours until I have to be up for work, sleep seems impossible with this going on. At least with the EU ref, I went to bed convinced we'd remain.
Good luck guys and thanks for the updates Icemaz
He looks miserable, it's both hilarious and heartbreaking at the same time.
I feel bad for Clegg. He's been trying to make right while dealing with the fact that his wife is a member of the 3 million, now he's lost his seat. At least it was to Labour because fuck him losing his seat to a Tory.

And forget Lib Dems too, Because almost political junkie voters think voting them will get back EU somehow.
Boris retains is Uxbridge seat, unsure of majority atm

hello darkness my old friend
Gower gone to Labour!
And forget Lib Dems too.
Yeah, the labour swing is less of a swing and more the natural order reasserting itself as Scottish Labour types (Who are typically very left wing compared to in England) have a leader they can rally around in Jezza.
(Not Kezia Dugdale, who is a New Labourite through and through. Horrendous woman. I can't wait for her to start claiming this victory has something to do with her, as she will)

Honestly I am so worried. Both my parents suffer from both mental and physical disabilities. I myself teeter on the edge of clinical depression. If the Tories get their way, my family will fall apart.
Vale of Glamorgan to Conservatives. Alun Cairns, the fucking weasel, escapes losing his job on the back of the vulnerable aging population. But the turnout was excellent and we did our best. Ah well, next time he's done for.
My Constituency of West Suffolk held by Conservatives. I live in a pretty big stronghold, more than double the number of votes of Labour, but both parties made good gains.
Still waiting for that big con gain, predictions are still worrying

As said, I feel your pain, it is pretty much a race between the Tories fucking up Brexit and my partner getting her permanent residency (and thus having right to remain even as the Tories royally cock things up with the EU) at this point. If the Tories get there ahead of it...
Can only hope that ScotGov continues to do its best to shield us from the worst of Tory policy and we don't cock up that election.

Can't stable the Cable.
First con gain from lab
It was going to happen at some point.
Stay calm everyone.
Can't stable the Cable.
I know you were trying to make a "Strong and Stable" reference.
But I just feel "Can't disable the Cable" works better.
I don't think Labour are going to do it. Looks like Scotland, Wales and N. Ireland will be the deciding votes, but they're all voting tory or their own things.

Wales is heavily favouring labour
NI is not voting Tory much at all.
Scotland is losing SNP seats to Tory's in pro-leave, anti-indyref areas.
I know several Scots who voted Tory purely out of intent to block another referendum.
I live in Perthshire right now btw

It isn't about the winning atm, but about stopping the Conservative government.
