Don't get too excited. Boris Johnson is just as scary, perhaps even more so. He holds far righter views, and with his fucked up appeal to the mainstream audience he would absolutely kill it at the next election.
I don't think there is anyone in the Conservative party scarier than Boris.

Shows me the time In Perth Aus :v:. Thanks for telling the time though (and the other 5 people).
How many people here are from Perth Scotland?
I know there is at least one, and I used to work down that way.

She must be that stupid and unpredictable for thinking everyone isn't repaired for voting.
Why does Nick Robinson look like the green goblin.
Also sounds like one of those dog chewtoys that's had the squeaker ripped out...he's prolly not stopped talking all day.
crazy how bad SNP is doing; yougov had coatbridge at a full 10% snp lead and now it's labour.
Canterbury has gone from conservatives for the first time since 1918...

Nobody. I don't even think they've discovered fire yet.

Yeah, BoJo is a real threat, because the harmless, lovable buffoon act really works on the British Public, but he is anything but. The man is a calculated dissembler and a right wing nut.

and by only a few hundred votes

Holy crap im shitting my pants now. My uncle also lives there!
I think it's too soon for Boris to be an effective leader especially if the party has lost its majority
Holy fuck that Canterbury win!

They do mostly well with currently 26 seats retained control, while some to mostly Cons, (nationally fringe) 3 Lib Dems and 2 Labs.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/politics/constituencies/E14000752
LAB - 186 CON - 170 SNP - 25 DUP - 10 LD - 6 PC - 2
Sick improvements in Hornsey & Wood Green, and other different areas then have gained such as Warwick and Canterbury
My constituency voted Tory, which makes sense because it's a safe seat, but Lib Dems climbed so hard from pmuch nothing to giving the Tories a run for their money. No small part because our Lib Dem candidate was amazing compared to a shite Tory and Labour candidate. I'm proud of the effort and proud to say I voted Lib Dem.

Numbers on Canterbury
Lib Dems fighting the good fight in some highly Conservative areas.
Imagine how different it would have been if Miliband won in 2015.
Amber Rudd is on her 5th recount lol

We wouldn't have had the Labour party we have now. They are on their strongest foot in a decade, with brand new ideals.

Yeah, they'll still come out as the majority party in Scotland (A near run thing), which other than the runaway success of 2015 would have still seemed pretty crazy 2 GEs ago. However, politics has been a fuckfest since 2015, so the lead was going to be pretty impossible to hold since Westminster driven politics (looking at you Brexit) now dominates.

Nice to see a consolation prize on offer.

A 99 years conservative seat. This must be emphasized.
I'm not sure if I like waiting until the vote is counted in whole before any information is released or not.
on one hand it reduces a lot of speculation. on another I'm impatient.

Salmond going to loose his seat or not ?
as an american who hasn't had any interest in british politics until brexit: british politics are fucking crazy

Prediction is for Gordon (my place) to declare at 4:30, seems likely he will lose it unfortunately. As stated before, too many anti-Indy oil workers and pro-Brexit rural folks here.

Least you know where the US gets it from.
