Don't get your hopes up guys but it looks like Kensington (safe Tory) is down to a recount
Get tey fok May, on Ur fokin byke
The Tories need 5 seats to get a majority with a coalition. Labour need 5 seats to hang parliament even with a coalition of Tory/DUP
I can't help but hope for this despite the chances being incredibly slim. It'd be the icing on the "May destroyed herself" cake
how do you define british
you can't define genetic perfection mate make britain britain again
Hah, you can see the big smile on John Curtice on the BBC coverage tonight after the early results had panel members calling his exit poll into question.
The Tories need 5 seats to get a majority with a coalition. Labour need 5 seats to hang parliament even with a coalition of Tory/DUP
Conservatives need 3 seats with coalition, not 5.
Conservatives need 3 seats with coalition, not 5.
Well they need 4, technically. But at the time joshuadim posted it, they needed 5. One was called 5 minutes ago.
how do you define british
cheeky nandos with the lads after work on a friday night
Did the Cornish lose the ancient rune stones they use to remember what numbers look like?
okay what the fuck is taking dudley north they only have 61 thousand people in the electorate edit: fucking recounts FUCK OFFFFFFFFFFFFF IM TIRED
Kensington, Ives, and Richmond are tossups on yougov. (closest polling model to accurate besides exit poll) Dudley North is likely labor. But even if all these tossup as anti-con (very unlikely); that still leaves one seat of difference, which would have to be cornwall n/s, devizes, or st austell: all likely con. So, yeah, coalition with DUP is very likely.
Well they need 4, technically. But at the time joshuadim posted it, they needed 5. One was called 5 minutes ago.
It's been at 313 for the past half an hour. 313 + 10 (DUP) = 323 out of the needed 326. http://www.bbc.com/news/election/2017/results
Did the Cornish lose the ancient rune stones they use to remember what numbers look like?
Only one person can read in Cornwall and he's currently sleeping off a hangover.
It's been at 313 for the past half an hour. 313 + 10 (DUP) = 323 out of the needed 326.
But North West Hampshire got called 5 mins ago? Maybe I'm confused, I'll take your word for it
Have I Got News for You is going to be absolute gold tonight.
Have I Got News for You is going to be absolute gold tonight.
wish i was in the uk to watch it i miss that show
Britain right now. We weren't going to knock out the champ, but we gave 'em a bloody rib and went the full 15. Yaaaay.
If labour can pull it off, they can still get four more seats. Then the coalition has a majority with the DUP of one. single. seat.
That means that the future of our country could very well have been decided by Two. Fucking. Votes. (Fife NE)
That means that the future of our country could very well have been decided by Two. Fucking. Votes. (Fife NE)
Fife NE was lib dem vs SNP unfortunately, so it probably wouldn't have. Shame though, great story. Newcastle-under-Lyme was 30? So you could say 30 votes
It's not a Labour victory, but it's the next best thing.
I hope Richmond park and St Ives go Libdem, just to make things even more 50/50. [editline]9th June 2017[/editline] I mean, as opposed to con. They're not going labour. Kensington going labour would be nice too.
Conservatives won Richmond Park by just 45 votes, now putting their seat count at 314. This is getting too close now.
Well, I take a short nap and lose three hours. I'm so fucking happy, lads
I can't believe Zac Goldsmith actually managed to win back a seat
Honestly it's crazy how evenly split everything was; regardless of the remaining seats. Tories +DUP will have probably 1-3 seats over half, despite being only ~43-44% of votes. gr8 electoral districting you guys.
I just put on the sky news youtube live vid, seeing ukip with zero made me smile.
Conservatives won Richmond Park by just 45 votes, now putting their seat count at 314. This is getting too close now.
Ah, that confirms that then. They've very likely won (a majority with a DUP coalition); it's doubtful cornwall (disregarding st ives) will go labour.
Dudley north was a hold. Looks like the coalition majority will only be 4 seats. That's ridiculous. It's not hard in a parliament that large to get 4 members of govt to oppose a policy.

So, who wants to take bets on whose heads will roll? I'm betting David Davis might go
