Government to provide certainty. LOL.
idk how May has the balls to go to the palace. I would have resigned 6 hours ago.
Does that mean we go to penalties now?
Why has may not resigned?
Why has may not resigned?
Because she is Strong and Stable™
Why has may not resigned?
While this was a shit result for her, she is still in the best position to form a government. Labour doesn't have nearly enough seats, and no one is interested in a coalition.
After all the things that were said about Jeremy Corbyn and the IRA, I can't believe the Conservatives went with the DUP. The fucking cheek of it
They were affiliated with the UVF if I remember correctly
Don't worry guys those are DUP sponsored "community workers" now.
After all the things that were said about Jeremy Corbyn and the IRA, I can't believe the Conservatives went with the DUP. The fucking cheek of it
The hypocrisy is off the charts.
After all the things that were said about Jeremy Corbyn and the IRA, I can't believe the Conservatives went with the DUP. The fucking cheek of it
-snip- see your point now
Not looking very strong and stable now, looking more desperate and fucked. In a way I hope they do fuck the Brexit negotiations up so they can be blamed for years to come, however in the same sense, I don't want them to fuck me over by fucking up the Brexit negotiations.
So outside of Brexit negotiations, this has pretty much brought British politics to a halt for the next 5 years unless we get an election called since the house is so split between the Coalition of Chaos and the Progressive Alliance. I feel like Lord Buckethead is still an important player here considering those grouping names.
If the papers tomorrow don't run with the headline "terrorist sympathiser" I'll be sorely disappointed
Yeah lol considering they accused Corbyn of that for a couple years it seems a bit rich that they're attempting to work with a group that supports loyalist paramilitaries to prop up their government.
Reminder that the DUP were also solely responsible for blocking legal gay marriage in NI not too long ago. If any good comes of this atleast the rest of the UK will finally realise just how horrible NI politics is.
Seems like a lot of others are interested in doing a progressive alliance though.
The only thing more difficult than managing an alliance between two parties is managing an alliance between four or five.
Well although I hate the DUP personally I wouldn't link them to any paramilitary groups especially not the UVF. The UVF hate the DUP and operate under their own party the PUP, which is actually quite progressive because anyone that was involved in the UVF for a legitimate reason mostly wanted peace, and due to being young and stupid thought that they best way was to fight fire with fire. Anyone still involved now is just your average criminal, and a criminal's last bastion of hope is to wrap themselves in a flag and call them patriots. David Irvine was a member of the PUP and was previously in the UVF, but he was also instrumental in the peace process that DUP most certainly did not want.
Remarkable that Scotland's attempts to kick the Tories out ultimately allowed them to stay in.
I'm pretty disappointed in Scotland right now. Absolutely no idea why so many constituencies voted tory, boggles my mind.
I'm pretty disappointed in Scotland right now. Absolutely no idea why so many constituencies voted tory, boggles my mind.
Maybe SNP had turned into a one issue party which was just another referendum for independence and people started to get sick of it.
so is may not fucking off or what
so is may not fucking off or what
Nope, not for the time being
So fucking disgusted at this country right now.
So outside of Brexit negotiations, this has pretty much brought British politics to a halt for the next 5 years unless we get an election called
Progressive party or nothing, so this is a good result.
May is going to be the Brexit sacrifice, she knows it and the conservatives knows it. She'll finish negotiations, get a deal and then probably leave politics. If she does a good job, Tories survive, if not, they will struggle in the years to come.
Maybe SNP had turned into a one issue party which was just another referendum for independence and people started to get sick of it.
So why not vote for Labour? I know Scottish Labour aren't the same but they're better than allowing the tories to form this shitshow of a coalition.
I was going to vote Lib Dems but I went with Labour in attempt to stop what has happened. Bit silly really that I want to vote another party but politics is all about tactics and shit
Not really happy if May doesn't resign. She's an absolutely awful PM and this is her mess. The fields of wheat are calling Theresa, go to them.
Maybe SNP had turned into a one issue party which was just another referendum for independence and people started to get sick of it.
????? They always mostly a multi-issue party with their success in the late 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s. But technically ironic that every Scottish unionist parties out there are nearly single issue when comes Scottish independence and British identity politics.
I was going to vote Lib Dems but I went with Labour in attempt to stop what has happened. Bit silly really that I want to vote another party but politics is all about tactics and shit
Good for you.
So why not vote for Labour? I know Scottish Labour aren't the same but they're better than allowing the tories to form this shitshow of a coalition.
Its funny because SNP's supposed one issue (which is horseshit, but whatever) isn't even particularly relevant for their showing in Westminster, as we got the last referendum with only one 1 MP. Its their strength in Scottish Parliament that matters for that. Nah, the issue was that Tories made this election up here about IndyRef2, something it manifestly wasn't about (had nothing to do with) and so idiots went to vote for them in droves. [editline]9th June 2017[/editline]
????? They always mostly a multi-issue party with their success in the late 1990s, 2000s and early 2010s.
Maybe SNP had turned into a one issue party which was just another referendum for independence and people started to get sick of it.
Well that's the official Strong And Stable™ narrative at least.
