is it actually possible for the tories to not royally cock things up for longer than 24 hours
I feel the need to watch more of this now. Though I don't know how I would do such a thing.

At the risk of running this joke even further into the bedrock: Loving all this strength and Stability.
I don't think they could have projected a more frail and unreliable image if they tried. Shooting themselves in the foot and then being forced to screw things up in Ireland to stay standing?.
Any Irish FPers that can give us a better idea of just how much may has cocked up here?
Everything Ive read seems to suggest she's potentially making a fucking mess of things over there, but I would be the first to admit my ignorance as to how this will effect things in Ireland.

Labour should print the shit out of this and just sent it to every fucking pro-tory area in the UK. Show that the Tories are willing to work with these fucks.
If May's now in a Coalition of Chaos with the DUP, I think CoC-DUP is a fair acronym.
Even the hardcore tories on my facebook hate the DUP.
Next few years are going to be interesting the government need to fellate them every time they need to pass something.

jesus christ, all he did was dance and dodge around the point
I fear we may see The Troubles v2 now that the British government are being partly run by Ulsters when the Government was supposed to take a neutral stance.
Thatcher, the Tories beloved icon will be rolling in her grave
[editline]10th June 2017[/editline]
Nobody can form a government unless the Tories sign a deal with the DUP, making most of the hardcore Tory base fucking fume with anger. They have to go to another election else May will be overthrown
The Tories are worse than Randy Pitchford.
"We've got the support of the DUP in parliament, but it's not a coalition and there are no deals and we're still in government because we won the most seats and the most votes so you don't need to worry about them at all."

The Queen will not give consent for May to form government if her party has not reached the mandatory threshold. Tories who think that because they got the most seats and therefore all is well are sadly mistaken.
I dont think the coalition will last. That is the hope anyway. But I dont see them getting anything done anyway.
Worried about NI Assembly negotiations now though. But on the plus side... I think an United Ireland referendum will happen in the next five years. Sinn Fein is gaining a lot of support and I see unionism weaking among moderate unionists if, as I suspect, this British government faps around and does badly during Brexit.
I just hope my British friends will be OK... and that a further divide in rights and laws will happen between both sides of the island.
Oh and DUP are scum yeah. Constantly opposed to peace and not critised enough for terrorism links.

The Palace trip is over and done with. May is forming her minority Government.
Labour is preparing to counter but would need Conservative support to be successful - which isn't happening with the exception of May getting the boot down the line.
So the Tories are going to be governing in a minority government rather than forming an actual coalition?
Aren't minority governments rare in the British Parliament?

Rare and utterly unstable. The irony is burning a big hole in the Capital.

The DUP doing as well as they have in both the Assembly election and in the GE is evident that unionism has not gone away or been weakened.
I hope Coalition of Chaos becomes the defacto name for this Frankenstein government the tories are cooking up
Anyone for some post-match Question Time? Alastair Campbell and Armando Iannucci ready to go.
EDIT: "There have been no cuts. There has been no austerity." - evidence of actual Tory brainwashing in play tonight :v: :v:
The last result is in! Kensington goes to Labour.
Here are the final overall results:

I know but I can see it weaking once the realities of Brexit become clearer. I certainly think that there are moderate unionists can be convinced - does the DUP really represent their interests well vs the UUP and more moderate parties? I think that will have an effect.
Have we heard anything legit from Sinn Fein on all of this?

They won't be taking their seats, as usual. Called Corbyn a politician of principle who would "understand" Sinn Féin's position.

Personally surprised they won't take their seats this time, in order to oppose the DUP as they enter government.

Well, if the DUP bugger things up it could the Sin Fein in a future election. So it may well do them good to keep out of things for now.

Apparently you don't need guns to murder someone.

With burns like that, no wonder she wants to control the Internet
Possibly uniformed colonist here, but aren't the DUP in favour of a soft Brexit due to the border? If it does, May is either gonna have to look super weak to the populace and the EU to turn back on the hard brexit stance, which of course the EU will take advantage of, or lose the support of DUP.
The fact that May's power play has ended up with her having to form a minority government with the Irish is fucking hilarious. They are going to be in an awful position for negotiating Brexit.
