uhhhh, Guys I think the UK has been played by Corbyn, Didn't Corbyn Support a Hard Brexit? If that the case the celebration of at least a soft Brexit after the election was Premature.
The Tories are ditching the 2018 Queen's Speech. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/jun/17/queens-speech-to-mps-dropped-next-year-to-allow-for-brexit-laws Presumably because they're barely able to get one passed this year.

They need to pass one every year or they go to a new election.
But how can they ditch the 2018 speech? They need to pass one every year or they go to a new election.
This was already done by the coalition in 2011. There is no queens speech for that year
uhhhh, Guys I think the UK has been played by Corbyn, Didn't Corbyn Support a Hard Brexit? If that the case the celebration of at least a soft Brexit after the election was Premature.
Can you please read on the subject? No, Jeremy Corbyn does not support a hard Brexit, that's entirely a conservative point of view; he's squarely pro-immigration which means he wants to keep freedom of movement, which additionally means he wants access to the single market. Theresa May has explicitly said she's against maintaining freedom of movement, that's the "hard" part of hard Brexit.
may is going to go down in history as a national embarrassment for this country which is a good thing because from her stint as home secretary, and her actions, she comes across as an incredibly callous, hollow person
may is going to go down in history as a national embarrassment for this country which is a good thing because from her stint as home secretary, and her actions, she comes across as an incredibly callous, hollow person
I heard on BBC Radio 4 last night whilst coming back from work that she's been given ten days by the Hard Brexiters in the Tory party to get her house in order or they'll institute a vote of no confidence in her.

Here's what the Labour Manifesto said:
We will scrap the Conservatives’ Brexit White Paper and replace it with fresh negotiating priorities that have a strong emphasis on retaining the benefits of the Single Market and the Customs Union – which are essential for maintaining industries, jobs and businesses in Britain. Labour will always put jobs and the economy first.

Freedom of movement will end when we leave the European Union. Britain’s immigration system will change, but Labour will not scapegoat migrants nor blame them for economic failures.

uhhhh, Guys I think the UK has been played by Corbyn, Didn't Corbyn Support a Hard Brexit? If that the case the celebration of at least a soft Brexit after the election was Premature.
your repeatedly confusing "Lateral Thinking" posts continue to amaze me
uhhhh, Guys I think the UK has been played by Corbyn, Didn't Corbyn Support a Hard Brexit? If that the case the celebration of at least a soft Brexit after the election was Premature.
are you an alt of ChadMcGoatMan?
are you an alt of ChadMcGoatMan?
I clearly don't related him. In political views. And most of my posts are unintentionally bad grammar. His are seemly intentional to covering his political views.
are you an alt of ChadMcGoatMan?
Most of his posts about Corbyn are just uneducated and based on random tweets. Really nothing to contribute
Here's what the Labour Manifesto said:
See, the thing is, there's no way of retaining access to the single market without freedom of movement; that's something that Switzerland (who wants similar things but is in a much better bargaining position as it was never part of the EU anyway) has sought for and wasn't allowed to have. It led in fact, to the infamous Guillotine rule. Labour's Brexit position is confusing and it's one of the main reasons for division within party lines, particularly on anything related to immigration, but it is in no way a support for hard Brexit. Hard Brexit is an absurd proposal that would significantly weaken the UK's economy by limiting trade with its closest partner.

The case, which could be brought to the Supreme Court because of its constitutional significance, follows cross-party warnings that the deal could jeopardise Northern Ireland’s peace process. Aaaaaaahaha, so what happens when her deal falls through?
Aaaaaaahaha, so what happens when her deal falls through?
Presumably another election, since there isn't a way to get enough seats to form a government without the DUP involved.
Presumably another election, since there isn't a way to get enough seats to form a government without the DUP involved.
Or they just try their luck with a minority gov. Tories will do terrible in a GE right now.
Or they just try their luck with a minority gov. Tories will do terrible in a GE right now.
And they'd basically ensure their loss of the next election. So it's sort of a win-win? But we all still lose
And they'd basically ensure their loss of the next election. So it's sort of a win-win? But we all still lose
Honestly, the tories' best move is to let Labour win an early election and let them take the fall for Brexit with a minority gov. Any other move will see them getting fucked in the end.
Honestly, the tories' best move is to let Labour win an early election and let them take the fall for Brexit with a minority gov. Any other move will see them getting fucked in the end.
I really don't want this to happen. It will bring Labour back to the right.
Due to the snap election, the Queen's Speech is already ditching some of the pomp. Prince Philip was also admitted to hospital last night ('as a precautionary measure'), so he won't be attending. Theresa May's Head of Policy has resigned. His deputy resigned last week. Damian Green has spent the morning spouting lies about police cuts - and insisting that the Social Care stuff is still in the speech. What a time. Dennis Skinner's quips always give me a good giggle.
Does the Queen's hat remind anyone else of the European Union flag?
Remember grammar schools? Lol
we did it, lads. Labor winning was always a blue sky dream. the real goal of this election was to break the backbone of the Tory govt. and we did it.
Fox hunting has been eliminated
Fox hunting has been eliminated
Thank goodness, such a weird policy to push for
