People who try to run these that reside in countries who give a fuck about drugs or have extradition treaties are pretty stupid. Like what did the guy who started this think what was gonna happen? The FBI isn't as incompetent as people think.
Aw, this saddens me actually, my favorite vendor was on there that had great candy edibles. Usually gave you a free lollipop too.
Hoping she moved to a new market. She was too good for sr2.
I'm kinda surprised how much FP knows about the darknet drug trade (or is this all entry-level stuff and I really have been living under a rock for the past few years or whatever)

everyone and their mum knows you can buy drugs online
Well, I suppose everyone wins here, except Silk Road 2's owners of course.
The FBI gets to rub their victory in everyone's face and campaign for more funding/resources with this "accomplishment". Everyone else in the government gets to act like the War on Drugs is actually working well, rather than being a massive failure on every single front. Nothing substantial has really been accomplished, but it sure looks like a victory to the ignorant and uninformed in charge, so it's all good for the anti-drugs side.
The people who run these types of websites win in a sense too. Sure, Silk Road 2 is dead, but they know exactly how and why it got taken down, meaning any successors will be aware of this takedown tactic and make specific efforts to protect themselves from this threat. Also, any competitors pre-existing or newly-formed will have the biggest contender removed by this action, allowing a new leader to rise. Besides, these kinds of takedowns don't even scratch the trade of drugs and other illicit goods, just slow them down ever-so-slightly for a moment.
At the end of the day, the drug traffickers will win no matter what. The FBI and the U.S. government might get to pat themselves on the back and feel superior, but as long as people want what they're not legally allowed to have, they'll get it one way or another.
The War on Drugs is basically an all-show thrown match, where the law enforcement gets to look like tough and competent heroes, the drug trade gets loudmouths and amateurs pulled out of the running while garnering free attention to draw potential clients, and the consumer gets a fancy show put on for their pleasure along with whatever they can discreetly purchase under the law's nose, with only mild inconvenience due to these takedowns as the cost in most cases.

Its not that hard to learn and/or to get involved with.

We've had a pretty informative thread on the subject in the drug discussion section for about 3 years now :v:
I suspect many FP users has taken advantage of the contents of that thread.
a year from it's reup? it was a sting! i kinda suspected at the time, it was bound to happen on something so open like the internet, TOR was developed by the NAVY

Does it feel weird to be on a forum with people who openly admit to committing drug crimes? Honest question.

Its different if I were to be hanging out with people after work who commit drug crimes.
I dont care. Its the internet. Also with that, theres nothing I could do legally even if I wanted to. I would need some overly-damning evidence to support any kind of prosecution. I, nor my employer, have the time or money to tracking down some dude who may live 5000 miles away in another country for a drug crime that may or may not be legal where they are.

Especially with the feds making it as popular as ever
cmon marco polo your silk roads suck
It's ironic because it's like the one place you can know for sure you're getting quality products that are safe.
Especially in this day and age where you would be a fool to take anything sold to you on the street without proper measures to ensure what you are taking is ACTUALLY what it is.

Thank you,
Buying drugs from people off the street is what got my friend killed. You don't know how pure the drug is so you simply cannot dose properly. When I talk about Dark Markets I draw parallels with Amazon.com considering the fact that you can pretty much know the quality of the product you're getting. Except with drugs you're risking your life and health.
The take down has me conflicted. On one hand, there was a lot of fraud related goods which doesn't fit into my code of ethics, but they were potentially saving lives by letting dealers and buyers come together in a somewhat safe environment.
everyone knows silk road 2 was run by the fbi the whole time :v:
and nothing was accomplished this day

no the ones that sell guns and fraud related goods are still up. Evolution has no problem with stolen card info.
High street dealers will be happy, less online dealers taking their custom
I dont mind this at all. They cant stop this from happening the more they shut down the more market places like these will pop up that will be harder to prevent people tend to learn from their mistakes and make their profit more robust. They only helping it advance. As there is huge sums of money involved and it will never end.
Ordering drugs never been so easy and safe these days they can never take it from us! While also getting qaulity product 95% of the time if you arent dumb about who you order from.
Are you a cop? Seriously, no offense, but who are you brother?
3 posts
:v:
Nah I'm just fucking with you you're right bud.
[editline]7th November 2014[/editline]
But are you an officer of the law??
Nearly all the drug dealers Ive met in my life haven't been the ghetto thugs or psychopathic scumbags media portays them to be, they've been people struggling to make ends meet doing things the "right way" (i.e slaving for a wage and getting fired because profit margins) so they turned to selling drugs. Supplying a product for a demand. End of.
Not exaggerating, from the social circles I've mixed in over the years, nearly every one of them has been middle class and basically decent people.
call the cops i dont give a fuck

"The most powerful drug lord has been killed. Congratulations to the new most powerful drug lord!"
Makes you question if they have any idea what the fuck they are doing. Instead of leaving this be they are forcing people to go on the streets now. Makes it hard to root for the "good guys".
It was fast.

now that people are on the streets they can be arrested
I don't know why everyone is taking this badly, justice has been served

Here is the problem :
It will take few weeks to make another silkroad (less ?) and months/years to take it down.
