Did a Marxist call you a bad name one time or something?
He's an idiot. Repeat that to yourself. Edit: This applies to a variety of things that he says.
How is killing the bankers going to solve anything? The people responsible for where Greece is today are the members of parliament who accepted austerity packages put forward by the EU and IMF. Austerity is a joke of a policy. Oh wait, the Golden Dawn are idiots and are just searching for scapegoats.
can't say i disagree with the idea of killing bankers, but you'd have to kill more than just bankers i reckon you'd need to kill alot of politicians too and CEO's and basically anyone who controls a large amount of wealth because all of them contribute to the fucked up state of greece (and the world really). but i mean, is killing that many people really worth it? i'm a pacifist as well so i'd say no

[editline]23rd May 2013[/editline]
Did a Marxist call you a bad name one time or something?
No I just hate pretty much any political ideology which places the salvation or golden age of humanity as arriving with a mythical "revolution" in the same way that evangelicals talk about rapture. [editline]23rd May 2013[/editline]
a lot of bankers are not jews [editline]22nd May 2013[/editline] marx is dead find a different leftist to zing with tia
Anders Brevik then. He's not leftist but his writings also have a fantasy atmosphere.
IDK dude seems your pretty angry at an analytical framework
IDK dude seems your pretty angry at an analytical framework
Well it uses shoddy methodology for a start. And it's more interested in pushing an ideology instead of advancing knowledge in economics, sociology, psychology, etc. It's pretty much a thin veneer on top of a movement to basically found a revolution to create a self-perpetuating dictatorship that has no interest in abolishing the state or capitalism.
No I just hate pretty much any political ideology which places the salvation or golden age of humanity as arriving with a mythical "revolution" in the same way that evangelicals talk about rapture.
are we still talking about marxism
are we still talking about marxism
It's pretty much in the same catergory. Marx analyzed capitalism, and then predicted it would inherently collapse. When marginal utility came about and trashed labour theory of value, that was when Marxism should have ended. [editline]23rd May 2013[/editline]
You do realise that 2 out of those 3 areas either are literally marxist or owe quite a lot of marxism?
Economics abandoned marxism 150 years ago and little marxist thought made its way into mainstream economics. Sociology was of course partly founded by Marx, but again, 150 years have passed as well. Psychology was only really founded in the 20th century, and pretty much was behaviorism followed by cognitivism.
And this contributes to pushing an ideology how? political applications of marxism and marxism are two distinct things Sobotnik
And this contributes to pushing an ideology how? political applications of marxism and marxism are two distinct things Sobotnik
Because it views the world in a way that is beneficial to their political goals. Of course capitalism must fail, otherwise nobody would ever listen to you. Of course many of the worlds problems must be blamed on it. Therefore to solve the worlds problems, a worldwide revolution must get rid of it. Marx pretty much said "no don't do anything, it'll happen on its own", but ever since he died there have been crackpots trying out his ideas, mostly in semi-agrarian societies that are politically unstable and have deep social problems.
So what you don't like is teleology, not Marxist analysis
im failing to see the relevance
I am the unfortunate victim of Sobotnik's ability to argue literally anything
So what you don't like is teleology, not Marxist analysis
I still do not like Marxist analysis, because it itself is horribly flawed.
I still do not like Marxist analysis, because it itself is horribly flawed.
TBH if Marxist analysis is horribly flawed, yours is probably shitting its bowels out.
15 years olds listening to Linkin Park with a Che shirt of whom they probably don't even know the surname.
i have that shirt but i didnt know his name was che
TBH if Marxist analysis is horribly flawed, yours is probably shitting its bowels out.
I don't understand.
tinfoil this, tinfoil that. No just turn off the damn TV instead. Wake up people! And that does not mean you have to believe in reptilians or listen to alex jones. There is something much more real going on if you care to look past the bullshit. (User was banned for this post ("conspiracy drivel" - Megafan))
How come Sobotnik has a right to express his idiotic opinion and Stalk gets banned for having his? For all we know he could be right.
I'm more for punishing the bankers than punishing the people, Iceland is a good example of why. None the less, I doubt the Golden Dawn is urging this for any at all genuinely intelligent reasons and even if they were, urging that they should be killed is just fucking insane.
How come Sobotnik has a right to express his idiotic opinion and Stalk gets banned for having his? For all we know he could be right.
I don't think the Jewish banking houses control the world. Or that by coyly implying that everybody else is a sheep for thinking we aren't ruled or oppressed by a tiny elite of shadowy, omnipotent, omniscient, probably fictitious figures.
How come Sobotnik has a right to express his idiotic opinion and Stalk gets banned for having his? For all we know he could be right.
oh shut it everyone complains about sobotnik and dainbramage yet hardly anyone has the intellectual capacity to argue with them in a level-headed way if they really are so idiotic and dumb then it should be very easy to beat them in an argument
oh shut it everyone complains about sobotnik and dainbramage yet hardly anyone has the intellectual capacity to argue with them in a level-headed way if they really are so idiotic and dumb then it should be very easy to beat them in an argument
Define 'beat them in an argument', the only possible outcome in a debate on Facepunch is both sides agree to disagree or mark as unread.

Yeah there's a lot of Jews in banking, media and various high-up positions (especially in the US if you consider the percentage of Jewish population), but people seem to think the Jews are scheming and cooperating to control everybody. Well, they're right, the high up Jews do that, the thing is though they aren't alone. Every single person in high up positions does that, it's only natural that they cooperate with eachother, wheter they're Jewish or not. Also a lot of this "scheming" isn't that dark, sinister planning people think, often it's more like "Hey you sign this contract to buy from me at a special price so you get a better deal and I'm assured my competitors don't supply you" rather than "Oy vey Shekelstein, the goys are trying to pass a law hurting our business! It's like a second Shoah! Quick deploy the bribes and pressure" (that Jews have pressured the US government into helping Israel more is pretty well known, the thing is it's not just the Jews that do that, Italians did it, Germans did it, and so forth).
How come Sobotnik has a right to express his idiotic opinion and Stalk gets banned for having his? Win some, you lose some, but it gets increasingly harder when any strong stance is met with personal attacks, strawman arguments, and banning.
History repeats it's self, first the Germans and then now the Greek.
I smell persecution complex.
A perfect example, thank you Sobotnik.
Greece's current political situation is scaring the living daylights out of me.
