oh well this is cool
Who cares, people do it anyway. If anything is more annoying that people using hashtags on facebook already, it's the people who constantly call out those who do it.
yeah, sorry if i've other preferences other than get drunk and smoke weed every saturday night.
doesn't give you the right to hate on everyone who enjoys that stuff. Maybe if you'd tried it you'd like it whos knows huh
"Nana's funeral was today. I still can't get over it. If you're up there, we all miss you terribly. Things won't be the same without your smile, and the laughter and joy you brought to all of our lives. #420blazeitfaggot"
How is a tagging system for organizing content better dumb?
I never understood the hate for Yolo and swag. They're words, acting all condescending and unapproving whenever someone uses them just make you look like those crotchety old people who want to ban games and stuff
in terms of use they belong in the category of overused meme's by now and are most often used in situations where they don't fit or make no sense
in terms of use they're basically meme's by now and most often used in situations where they don't fit or make no sense
re: my twitter
Looks like my friends list is going to need an idiot cull.
Does anyone actually click on hashtags [editline]14th March 2013[/editline] I just try and invent my own that no one else uses, like #scubalife
Looks like my friends list is going to need an idiot cull.
being friends with me is a privilege i will be removing u from my friends list
being friends with me is a privilege i will be removing u from my friends list
can i be your friend
sure but expect annoying youtube vids of obscure music
I really don't understand why it would be a bad thing. It allows people to search tags and such to find new things that they may or may not like. I use it on Tumblr to find things and I use it on Twitter to find things, why can't I use it on the other Social Media giant to find things? Also, as someone who runs a Community page on Facebook, this will allow me to spread my reach without the need to pay for it like a jackass. I just recently hit 300 likes and the ability to grow without having to actively work for it as much is appreciated.
Couldn't care less - it's a handy way of grouping posts under a common topic that brings control of this grouping into the hands of users instead of FB itself grouping them without permission - i.e., 'John Smith and 10 other people posted about Christmas'. It adds a tiny bit of functionality that will be appreciated by a segment of the user base and for those who don't use hash tags all it'll be is one or two words attached to the end of a post that appears on your wall. Bearing in mind that you only see posts written by people on your friends list, it's really not going to affect you one bit. Unless you're the type of person that has un-friends people if they put 'xD' or ':)' at the end of their posts, in which case you're stuffed
There's this one chick I have added that posts some of the most obscure shit I've ever seen. She's cool as fuck, hope this lets more of that sorta shit come through the feed.
I deleted my facebook long ago I never had friends on it anyway
A lot of my friends (read: people on my 'friends' list) now make posts consisting entirely of hashtags. Instead of saying "I went to Portland to go shopping today, it was fun" they say "#portland #shopping #goodtimes." Maybe if hashtags are officially added there'll be an option to hide posts containing them.
like I'm not big on twitter in the first place but how many people seriously sort tweets by hashtags?
So apparently the reason implementing the feature is dumb is because people you guys are friends with use it in dumb ways that's not the fault of the feature, it's your fault for having friends who use the feature wrong get better friends
I deleted my facebook long ago I never had friends on it anyway
That shit is sad.
yeah, sorry if i've other preferences than get drunk and smoke weed every saturday night.
Oh yeah you're so much better at life, gee, if only everyone could be as wise and enlightened as you :downs:
Time to see if 200 feet above ground into a slab of titanium will kill me! #yolo
Whoever thought it was fine to okay this should be hanged.
Thank you, for reminding me again how much I hate Twitter.
Can't wait to see my friends fill their posts with a million #. Whatever, it's not that big of a deal.
I'm all for this it'll bring even more people to google+
I'm all for this it'll bring even more people to google+
Adding features = Fuck you Facebook! Doing anything = Fuck you Facebook!
If I wanted Facebook to be like twitter, I'd get on twitter.
if I wanted to listen to radio while I drive I'd get a car why is there one on this motorbike Just because it's a new feature doesn't mean you have to use it. I doubt your friends using hash tags will endanger your friendships I don't understand why people are making a fuss about this
when I read the title, I thought facebook was literally incorporating the specific hashtags, #yolo, #swag ,and #420erryday
