1. Yes the tumbler and bat-pod are still grounded in reality. Even the cell phone idea is grounded in reality. I don't think you understand the concept of being grounded in reality...
2. "being over 190lbs" doesn't make him very big at all. Christian bale probably weighed about 205-215lbs around Dark Knight just to give you an idea. Bane, ideally, would be a fucking monster pushing well over 300lbs. Personally, as I said before, bane can work, but he is a one trick pony, the character of bane cannot carry a film, unlike the Joker or Riddler.
I'll concede one, and most of two, but Bane easily could. The movies sold him short. In the comics, he's Batmans biggest problem after Joker. He broke Batmans back after a huge elaborate scheme. You are right, there would need to be other villains. I think Black Mask, Zsaz, and maybe even Scarface could all work.
Albeit, the Bat-Pod was almost undriveable(I heard from interviews with the stuntmen, and Bale himself), and I don't think that it would come out of the Tumbler like that.
If they include Bane, Nathan Jones should be the one to play him.

This is just what I mean though. Bane at the end of the day, is a one trick pony. He's got retard strength and breaks batman's back. That's about where his character stops being interesting. The Joker on the other hand, is a complex interesting and ultimately unpredictable character. Props to bale and all, but Heath Ledger's Joker is what carried the second film.

Yeah good way to kill the entire film, employ yet another WWE personality who can't act to save his life!

I guess you're right. He is a very smart opponent though. He would make for a good set of fight scenes and a pretty decent plot however.

Agreed, that's the reason Batman is my favourite comic book hero-guy.
If they go with Riddler I hope he actually comes up with some good riddles, rather than
"What's dangerous and sits in a tree?"
A sparrow with a machine gun!
Of course! The only possible answer!"
-.-

Hugo Weaving's perfomance in V for Vendetta makes me think that could work... It could also start a trend of having Australian batman villains.
Mr. Freeze/The Riddler/The Penguin are the only characters that are realistic enough for Nolan's series, if they can pull off Freeze without Schwarzenegger, it'd be a slice of fried gold.
Oh god, please don't remind me of that abomination.
Make the Penguin a nihilistic-British arms dealer with an appetite for decadent acts.
Have Jack Nicholson grow sideburns and don a tuxedo and a top hat.
Hugh Laurie Riddler please.
Oh god, please don't remind me of that abomination.
Arguably one of the worst big budget films ever made.
Johnny Depp as the Riddler would be good, but he would have to be careful not to come off as too similar to Ledger's Joker.

V was good...
Hugo Weaving would be rather great.
Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition.
I would like to see The Riddler at the least. I don't really care for the penguin all that much.
Would like to see something like The Riddler + The Mad Hatter as a hat wearing villain duo.

I disagree, Firefly and Mad Hatter would go well. Also Harley Quinn get.

Naw, mad hatter would steal the penguin's hat.
I find this shocking in the same sense that "There is nothing" for the next LOTR film.
Actually, I want Temple Fugit, the clock king, to go big time!
I love Johnny Depp as much as the next faggot but he's really starting to be ridiculously overcast
He could play every character in any movie. He should be in a romantic comedy where he plays every part. No one would be able to tell.

it's just too bad Schwarzenegger was terrible as Freeze, still, and that movie itself was an abortion.

starting to be? he's been entirely overcast for the last 15 years or so. i don't really mind at all, however.

I think they should do bane in the style of the Knightfall series.
he's a great actor, however, he doesn't have the right voice nor the correct speech patterns for riddler.
Sure he does. He's basically typecasted for the role. The Ridder is narcissistic and wants to continually show people how smart he is, speaking with a tone of arrogance and superiority. His role would basically be Agent Smith's speech from The Matrix, but in a question mark suit.
I'm trying to imagine Michael C. Hall as The Riddler. Not sure if it'd be good or bad, interesting nonetheless.

the Riddler traditionally has a higher pitched voice and speaks relatively fast, with a lot of diction. entirely different from Agent Smith.
[editline]10:15PM[/editline]
Michael C Hall would make a visually good riddler, but even on six feet under, he had the same, low (both volume and pitch), soft, calm voice. so, i can't see that working out too well.

As long as they make him look realistic and original, unlike Jim Carey's riddler.

No, Bane has plates under his muscles that block injections and such. He's not the barbaric lackey he is in the movies. The real bane is a plotting criminal mastermind, and one of the only people to ever incapacitate batman. Read the comics.

I can't read the comics because there are six fucking hundred of them just in the main series. I don't know where to begin. I read Image comics.
