theres also the huge amount of people pissed off during that due to the fact you should donate your phone to those that need it rather than smashing it
not to mention smashing a phone is bad due to chemicals/batteries/etc
Reminds me when /r/Bitcoin smashed their Apple products to "protest" against Apple's removal of a single Bitcoin app.
That's like, Faces of Atheism-level cringe.
I always thought they keep it limited to generate hype and inflate the value of their brand.

god damn that arm is so hairy
So the article describes it as "hugely impressive", but is it really? What's so special about it

bitcoiners acting like rabid spergs, never heard THAT one before
And yet I remember hearing about people saying how they easily filled up their classic, large iPods.
People who bought large ipods most likely had use for them, hence filling them up. Phones have many different uses.

You don't actually have to store your music library on your phone anymore, thanks to streaming, so that helps a lot
You don't actually have to store your music library on your phone anymore, thanks to streaming, so that helps a lot
Tons of people, like myself cannot stream music to their phones because of the data cap. I heard many US carries are ignoring the data cap when it comes to streaming music, but that seems to be US only.
Usually when people talk about the OnePlus and Nexus 5 its comparing them and deciding which to get.
I have have to ask why go to the OnePlus if you owned a Nexus 5 prior? The improvements seem so marginal that I would have saved a little more and got something that justified an upgrade.

UNless you got an invite for free than nevermind
I went from Nexus 5 to 1+1 also. The battery alone makes it a worthy upgrade. Nexus 5 is a great phone, but the battery is fucking awful. Meanwhile 1+1 battery life is one of the best in the market.
But yeah, other than that it's not a huge upgrade. The camera is better but it's not great for a 13 Mpx camera.

And US makes a fairly large smartphone market share. I only have a few albums at a time on my phone. I can swap them out if I need something else.

I don't think it's a common thing at all. I only get 3 gigs a month so streaming isn't viable, plus there's no signal in the subway which is the one place I really need music. All around I prefer having local copies of my music so I still carry a 60 gb dinosaur iPod
do they still have that issue with the yellow tint on the display?
I have Google Play Music All Access, but I never use it for streaming. I use it to download songs on WiFi and play them locally. My 16GB is almost gone.
do they still have that issue with the yellow tint on the display?
iirc from the android thread
no
do they still have that issue with the yellow tint on the display?
Got it last week, have zero issues with the display. There were complaints about the screen being oversensitive too, but an update fixed that.
Alright, whats so special about that phone? I guess I could use a new mobile

T-Mobile exempted us from it for certain providers (Pandora, Spotify) and even then our cap is 1gb and once we exceed it, we can still stream, it's just slower.
Seriously, T-Mobile is actually, well, working. Most phone companies fuck you over, but we are paying less for a 4-smartphone plan with unlimited data with them than a 2-smartphone plan with a monthly limit from Verizon.
Alright, whats so special about that phone? I guess I could use a new mobile
Its half the price of other phones in its spec range.
Thought they stopped making the 16gb version since nobody wanted it
[editline]21st October 2014[/editline]
Can only select the 64gb version in the pre-preorder shit. So OP is a bit incorrect.
Can't find it on google. Link or explanation about that incident?
They told women that if they posted racy pictures with their old phones or something they had a chance at getting an invite.
Can't backfire at all no way no how.

Also 1+1 is kind of in a great position right now considering the much higher price for the Nexus 6
I've had the OnePlus One (64gb version) for a week now and it's easily the best one i've ever used.
I got this phone last week, I still haven't seen any single one of them in Ireland considering what pain in the ass it is to get it shipped to here.
I've never heard of this phone before.
Alright, whats so special about that phone? I guess I could use a new mobile
Its price. You get what 700-800 dollar phones have for 300-350 bucks. Also, it's got the most impressive camera i've seen on any phone.

List of what I thought is awesome:
Awesome specs.
Dual flash LED (Pretty good at night time)
Slow mo video (720p @ 120 fps)
Amazing camera,
Can customize every single thing on phone (how notifications act/look, buttons (back, home and tasks)
Quite amazing battery for those specs.
Nice screen.
Good build quality (didn't feel cheap)
I wonder how much those invites are being sold for...
A pound on ebay last i checked.

People are giving them away like candy on xda forums.

T-Mobile is so incredibly spotty and slow here in Vegas. The one company I've used and actually enjoyed was Verizon, even though Verizon has been receiving flak in the news. It works everywhere, man!

I didn't know this, all i know is that T-Mobile did it, I figured it would be a pretty standard thing.
Man that sucks, hopefully your providers starting doing it too
Any chance anyone has an invite? I just sold my Nexus 5 and I'm feeling a bit queasy about the pre-order system all of a sudden.
