I mean, was it though? She had the most votes, even before super-delegates. Should the DNC have told Democrats to go fuck themselves and gone with Sanders to win it for the party?
It'd be a popular move on FP and I can see the positives in a utilitarian perspective but that would burn a lot of bridges in the party, especially the old breed.
Hindsight is 20/20, honestly, and I'm sure a lot of the top brass at the DNC are regretting their nomination now. She won the vote, so yeah, she was the "right pick" at the time, but if Sanders had won the nomination we'd be in a much better position right now.

Socrates was right all along.
Um, he was far closer to the mark than almost everywhere else
Most places were predicting much wider margins for Hillary and gave him shit for it
Trump will never be the nominee

I'm gonna miss you Obamba.

Again, neglecting that they purposefully included superdelegates which didnt vote until the DNC in July in every single delegate count which made it seem like Bernie didn't have a chance. Stop acting as if that didn't play a psychological factor.

4 years of climate change and alternative energy denial/refusal. That alone is disgraceful.

He has the senate in his pocket as well as the alt-right and religious right and threatened to do a number of very stupid things so are you surprised people are scared? Even if he doesnt do any of this shit he crowed so much about he's still going to act as a beacon of justification for the racists and other scum that crawled out of the woodwork to support him
Not that I'm calling all Republicans by those epithets, but you must realize that most of the alt right and religious right are squarely behind Trump, as is the Senate this election, so people are right to be afraid
Jesus Christ climate change won't wait for us to regain our sanity. People with fucking illnesses will lose their health insurance. My mom is covered with Obamacare and she might lose it (she isn't sick but still) fuck fuck fuck kfuckkk

Obama must be so disappointed in everyone.
We are literally going to erase his presidency because of this orange fuck.

You are indeed correct. The failure here is the DNC thinking about profits versus "we the people".
Trump will never be the nominee
Okay? Most people didn't think the electorate could stomach him. Hell, the RNC didn't want him. He updated his methods. He ended up predicting better that others.
I still don't get it. It's finally starting to sink in - he had 1 newspaper endorsement, zero political experience, he was denounced by almost every politician in America and around the world, he had scandal after scandal of racism, sexism, rape, fraud, was condemned by every mainstream media outlet, and was polling at 30% two weeks ago. He lost every debate with flying colors, called people names, mocked the disabled. He was the most disliked candidate in American history. He was a meme from how many people disliked him. Everyone called the election last month - there's still newspapers and magazines displayed in my college library that I'm going to photograph ASAP, because it's literally this.

Nothing changed since then. There were no revelations, or major leaks or damning scandals. But somehow he won the presidency against the former first lady and secretary of state, a household name for 30 years, having every connection in DC and abroad, who prepared zingers and factchecks for every debate and has been drumming up this campaign for well over a decade. It seemed like even people who don't give a shit about politics 'supported' her, or at least didn't support Trump.
I'm not angry or in shock, but just genuinely confused at how all these pieces came together. Was it the Brexit effect, people thought it was such an easy win they didn't bother showing up?
so are we getting wu tang or what

as far as I know (?) there was record turnout for every state in the polls
maybe when trump wins his sentient hair will finally jump out of his head revealing that he is in fact an alien hair mass from mars and therefore not a US citizen, meaning he cant be president
I'm sure the 90+ year old women who were born before women could vote and voted for Hillary are thrilled right now.

I'm actually upset, I have knot in my stomach..what about nato?!?!
Fucking Russians get their puppet
Is this actually happening?!????? FUCK
Clinton looks likely to win the popular vote, meaning Dems would have lost the White House twice in as many decades due to the electoral college
Will its abolition become Democratic policy?
Wait. I just checked the thread. Did trump win? Fucking hell.
friendly reminder that climate change is the biggest threat to the survival of our species atm

I know you've been openly Trump this whole time but it's nice to know that people will finally feel comfortable enough to identify themselves as someone not worth associating with
