RIP half of FP
I'm calm. I realized by now that this isn't the end of the world. A Trump presidency will not spell doom for me. If I'm firm and steadfast I'll be able to comfortably live my life. If anything happens to anyone's rights, I am positive it will be violently opposed. Hopefully this will see a reform of the fucking disaster of an electoral system we have in place
Wait. I just checked the thread. Did trump win? Fucking hell.
Not absolutely confirmed yet but it's looking incredibly likely.
friendly reminder that climate change is the biggest threat to the survival of our species atm
And Trump denies it
friendly reminder that climate change is the biggest threat to the survival of our species atm
but it doesnt exist and it was all made up by china dont you see? [/s]
friendly reminder that climate change is the biggest threat to the survival of our species atm
nah it's the Mexicans
what does that have to do with anything
Did you just show up to this thread or what? "Liberal tears" is the only thing any Trump supporter has celebrated so far. Not policy. Not change. They look at this election like they got the high score in a video game and get to "gg ez" the other side. Meanwhile I'm consoling one of my trans friends who is trying to figure out if there's going to be a place for her in the US when she graduates next year or if she should try to scrape together whatever little money she has to move because she already didn't feel safe in her mostly conservative community. You know, real problems, unlike anything this lolTrump filth has ever experienced in their sheltered, ignorant lives.
Yo mods I'm curious about something in the meantime before I go down Have I ever been considered for mod status cause if so fuCK
No
Because it would make incoming goods more expensive, in theory this means people will buy more locally but historically protectionism isn't nearly as cut and dry perfect as some people are acting like it is.
The thing is, protectionism has worked for certain economies in the past. Places like Japan and South Korea modernized really rapidly. But there's two main differences. Japan and SK used state capitalism - Trump's proposing deregulation, which is the polar opposite of the highly-regulated post-WWII economic miracle of Japan. Second, both those countries had significant US investment. They didn't need to fund a military, because the US forced them to disarm and placed their military their to watch over the Soviet Union. Plus they actually directly infused cash into the Japanese economy. The US's current situation is different. We have no foreign donors repairing our economy and fostering growth. We have to fund a massive military. Protectionism in this case, with a deregulated local economy, high import tariffs, and little foreign direct investment is a recipe for absolute disaster. If his trade plan and economic plan goes through, it really isn't hyperbole to say we could be looking at a genuine crash into the second Great Depression.
friendly reminder that climate change is the biggest threat to the survival of our species atm
Friendly reminder that short of shutting off all the non nuclear power plants in the world or killing 25% of the human race, nothing will stop it.
Pascalls slaying these flaming bans before I can get to them.
Hillary rn
Clearly Clinton's failure was her "more asbestos" policy.
I'm sure the 90+ year old women who were born before women could vote and voted for Hillary are thrilled right now.
The individual has the right to vote for a reason. You vote for who you think is best for YOU. No one else is entitled to your vote, against your will and judgement, because they arbitrarily "deserve" it more. Stop trying to guilt trip, its too late anyway

Are the rest of the States going to reveal their results or what? Come on Already
Okay guys, I just woke up and that Romanian poster on /sp/ who keeps mentioning how Liverpool slipped away a 9-point lead in 2014 is now making Slippery Hill jokes. Did Clinton just outslip Liverpool by completely blowing a 12-point lead in the polls in less than a month, because this is quite something to wake up to.
Friendly reminder that short of shutting off all the non nuclear power plants in the world or killing 25% of the human race, nothing will stop it.
Calling it a Chinese hoax and denying science surely doesn't fucking help either mate.
So a bunch of people are currently freaking out because Trump as President means their lifeline is effectively going to be cut. And all it takes is one desperate person to change the course of history. The math doesn't come out well.
Again, neglecting that they purposefully included superdelegates which didnt vote until the DNC in July in every single delegate count which made it seem like Bernie didn't have a chance. Stop acting as if that didn't play a psychological factor.
If by they you mean the media this is objectively false as every single count I saw made sure to disassociate superdelegates from the popular vote in the given states. Even if it did play a "psychological factor", until (indeed, unless) it's something that can be quantified I wouldn't put much stock in it.
[t]https://s16.postimg.org/kk5gykebp/IMG_4206.jpg[/t]
Why is your brother so much older than you?
"Liberal tears" is the only thing any Trump supporter has celebrated so far. Not policy. Not change. They look at this election like they got the high score in a video game and get to "gg ez" the other side.
Other than maybe pure relief, I don't see how different the other side would be if this situation were reversed. This whole election has been overly hostile from both sides. I could see both sides being spiteful.
Impeach
Wow I completely forgot about the Supreme Court in all this. Citizens United will stand for the foreseeable future now Also all the states that voted to legalise weed tonight will probably not be allowed to do so by the federal government
