oh no my FP credibility
Wow stop oppressing him
you're in no position to be casting any aspersions so if you want your glass house to stay unbroken don't be disingenuous
I still don't get it. It's finally starting to sink in - he had 1 newspaper endorsement, zero political experience, he was denounced by almost every politician in America and around the world, he had scandal after scandal of racism, sexism, rape, fraud, was condemned by every mainstream media outlet, and was polling at 30% two weeks ago. He lost every debate with flying colors, called people names, mocked the disabled. He was the most disliked candidate in American history. He was a meme from how many people disliked him. Everyone called the election last month - there's still newspapers and magazines displayed in my college library that I'm going to photograph ASAP, because it's literally this.

Nothing changed since then. There were no revelations, or major leaks or damning scandals. But somehow he won the presidency against the former first lady and secretary of state, a household name for 30 years, having every connection in DC and abroad, who prepared zingers and factchecks for every debate and has been drumming up this campaign for well over a decade. It seemed like even people who don't give a shit about politics 'supported' her, or at least didn't support Trump.
I'm not angry or in shock, but just genuinely confused at how all these pieces came together. Was it the Brexit effect, people thought it was such an easy win they didn't bother showing up?
Lots and lots of lying on Trump's part.
If you remove every single lie in the election, Clinton would've won. There are a stupid amount of people out there who believe that Clinton killed people in Benghazi and that Clinton worships the devil.
I'm already seeing the "It's the fault of the third party voters!!!" posts on facebook.
Which is terrible. Its not the fault of third party voters that the candidates were shit.
the US ran entirely by the Republicans

It wouldn't be the first time. Heck, it's not even pretty recent that it was run entirely by republicans.
post your white skin too please
Codemonkey isn't even white he's half Japanese or something.
Calling it a Chinese hoax and denying science surely doesn't fucking help either mate.
No, it doesn't help. But neither candidate would have done anything about it because doing anything that actually mattered would be guaranteed to destroy the economy, and they don't want that on their administration's history book.

i can say yes a 3rd time if youd like
I'm calm.
I realized by now that this isn't the end of the world. A Trump presidency will not spell doom for me.
If I'm firm and steadfast I'll be able to comfortably live my life. If anything happens to anyone's rights, I am positive it will be violently opposed.
Hopefully this will see a reform of the fucking disaster of an electoral system we have in place
The best thing any of us can do now is keep a level head.

Because he represents a rejection of the way the US political class has been running. Forgoing the common man in favor of the lucky few, private interests, the loud and persuasive minority of political interests and other such bullshit at the expense of people on the ground.
Like brexit, trump was the first avenue they felt that they could express themselves politically and meaningfully.
Self employment is almost at an all time low, the wealth dispairty is the worst it's been since the '20's. The political climate is in chronic, needless wars which benifit billionares and despots, and harms the average person and saps away their livelyhood.
Now if they were right to place their faith in trump, we'll see. But trump really represents a movement and a feeling of the public more than anything else. And i'm sure trump knew that and put himself at the tip of it. Even if he's deadlocked into impotence for 4 years, his election is a sign of public discontent that the goverment must hear if they want to keep american society together.
Honestly, is it any real surprise trump won?

wow, you guys really got fucked, it's a shame that facepunch doesn't seem to hold the majority of the people's ideas and opinions, otherwise the great wipe of 2016 FP accounts wouldn't have occurred.
Looks like Trump has Alaska

This is why I voted for democrat. I am someone who loves guns and supports gun rights, but we need basic human rights over guns damnit.
In an ideal world we'll have both, but this takes much higher precedence.
Also it seems rather odd to me that there are anime fans that would vote for Trump. You'd think you'd be a more open minded person if you were an anime fan.
Putin right now
