Tonight has been a massive relief to me, just knowing that the rest of this country isn't as stupid as the majority of Sensationalist Headlines.
The lack of self awareness in this post is hilarious.
I honestly should have expected this after the american public decided to elect george bush
not for one term
but for two terms
and I bet if hillary runs again in 4 years, trump will get 2 terms
I just woke up. Did trump actually officially win
Can any of you actually articulate what makes Trump a good fit for presidency? Anyone?
*four years worth of chirping crickets*
Tonight has been a massive relief to me, just knowing that the rest of this country isn't as stupid as the majority of Sensationalist Headlines.
My previous statement on repurcussions and consequences applies here.
So is this exit polls or actual vote counts
Tonight has been a massive relief to me, just knowing that the rest of this country isn't as stupid as the majority of Sensationalist Headlines.
You've got some nerve calling us stupid when you literally elected an onion parody as the CIC of the most powerful country on earth
This entire pair of threads has been nothing but trump supporters making epic zingers about how their candidate made america great again and ruined everything for four years
And yet somehow the democrat supporters are bad because they're trying to point out why Trump winning is a bad thing
Honestly, it just occurred to me that a man with no political experience at all is now the single most important member of our government. That's kind of a scary thought. His policies and ideas aside, could he really do it? I sure hope his cabinet at least understands what they need to do, otherwise he's liable to run into a brick wall and just not know what to do.
There is going to be a lot of unhappy people with the election result... prepare for the protesting and maybe rioting.
Even more people happier with the result
Tonight has been a massive relief to me, just knowing that the rest of this country isn't as stupid as the majority of Sensationalist Headlines.
You've had a year to make a cogent reasoned post as to why you support him
Yet all we get is crap like this
I just woke up. Did trump actually officially win
hillary needs 55, trump needs 6
If this election taught us anything, it's that exit polls are pure bullshit.
Also that betting markets should be taken with a huge grain of salt. Same thing happened with Brexit.
this is not right
not
right

Pretty uh... Spot on analysis there Guardian.
did a middle schooler write this
Congratulations to Trump on winning the election.
I'd like to apologize to Poland, Estonia, Finland, Eastern Sweden, Ukraine, and the Baltic states. You had a good run, and I hope the Russians are kinder to you than they were to Georgia.
end my life
TRUMP TAKES PA.
THAT'S THE BALL GAME.
TRUMP IS #45.
I'M IN TEARS. I COULDN'T BE MORE PROUD
*four years worth of chirping crickets*
Stop being short sighted, we are going for 8!
Remember when everyone thought trump would never get this far
im so excited for daddy trump to be president.
MEMES CAN BECOME REALITY.
Can we make Time Travel a meme?
Wait, Back to the Future predicted the Cubs winning the World Series! Quick! Use your meme magic to reverse this shitty election by summoning a time traveling DeLorean!
~Oh, Lord Kek, we summon you in the name of the father, the son, and the Rare Pepe...~
Is it extremely crazy to imagine Trump went above and beyond his poll numbers?
I feel like there's a lot of fear in people admitting they supported Trump because of behaviors exhibited even by those you see here. People don't like being judged and called retards, bigots, or even physically attacked for wearing a MAGA hat.
I'm not sure how many polls allowed you to be anonymous or not, so I'm probably wrong.
I don't get everyone's overreaction to the whole election. It's not like this forum is 90% of voters in America. This forum is a very small demographic compared to the whole. Every single demographic thinks their view is the right one and I'd wager most people, both on this forum and the rest of America, barely have a real grasp at what's happening here.
If Trump wins, good for him. He played the game and won at it. Hopefully next election we can vote for who we want to win and not vote to make the other lose.
Can any of you actually articulate what makes Trump a good fit for presidency? Anyone?
Is it his denial of science, or his failed understanding of economics?
Chaos brings change. Its a desperate hope such chaos can be wrangled into good change, but a desperate hope for change non the less.
God CNN is so delayed in their coverage, clearly holding out for hillary
Mr.Garrison is going to be president on South Park now, this is ironic because I don't think they expected Trump to win.
Stop being short sighted, we are going for 8!
Can you just fuck off back to /pol/ already?
Stop being short sighted, we are going for 8!
god i hope not
I'm just hoping he royally fucks up somewhere and gets impeached.
I be happy to join you to get trump out of office.
he won because of meme magic and the support of disenchanted people who hated the system and what it stood for
he didnt win on substance, he won exploiting feelings
He literally won because of memes. Cultural ideas that spread rapidly - "Clinton is as bad as Trump" and "they both suck the same amount" being the most effective memes of them all. It allowed Trump to be the "outsider" who was going to break up the establishment, giving him way more appeal, and allowed people to ignore the negative shit about him.
But he literally won because of memes. If this repeats in Europe, liberal democracy is going to be headed out the door for a long, long while. And now I'm just hoping that Trump and the alt-right (mainstream-right nowadays) fuck shit up hard enough for there to be a major backlash that promotes social democracy across the globe. Until then, though... expect the US to become more like Russia, backsliding democratically while (maybe) maintaining some economic power. Worst case, we lose economic power and liberal democracy and the US pulls a British Empire and starts to fizzle out.
All I know is that there's going to be a lot of fascinating essays from political scientists for the next few years trying to make sense of why this is happening.
