For anyone thinking about acting out violently after tonight.
Many people I know are very afraid tonight. I am among those people. What we have ahead of us is the potential for a very dark near future. I don't know what you think of the political race, or the anger that you have had against your country in the past or tonight as I type this message out, but I know that whatever happens we are all still Americans and no divide between us will change that. Nobody here can doubt that whoever they voted for or whatever they believe that they acted with the best interest of their country in mind, and whatever future lies ahead of us I can only hope that it is one that isn't filled with hatred, because what we need now more than ever is unity. I've seen many people in daily life and in the news promise violence in the case that their candidate of choice should lose this election, and I have no doubt that many people will follow through, and I hope to god none of you reading this plan to take part in anything this. Save the anger for those who wrong you in dishonesty and wickedness, those who lie to you in exchange for power, not those that simply acted as they felt was right. Violence will bring nothing but pain and sorrow, you will not see the change you wish to see in the world nor will you be it; you will be nothing but responsible for the further destruction of five-hundred years of ideals fought for by oppressed people that once held feelings like you yourself do now, their fighting not done with weapons but with reason and diligence and faith in a country that did eventually change to fight with them. Please, I beg you despite your feelings in this election, spend your energy fighting for what you believe in by educating those around you and not by burning down their homes. We all struggle enough to survive as it is, if we fall to anger and violence we cannot hope to rise above where we are.
postal already pretty much invited them to make an alt saying he wouldnt go after them
expect them all back within the week
I'm relieved I didn't do a toxx myself
Shes not going to jail lol
The first of promises to not be upheld by your candidate
How's he going to do it? The investigations are over and there's nothing new.
I've been hearing that trump won't do or be X for a long time, look how it turned out
So people from both sides, without sounding too extreme, what does this mean factually for America ?
Its hard to know for sure, but the American government is completely 100% Republican now, and there is the possibility for 4 Supreme Justice appointments with a guarantee of one. We dont know what they're going to be pushing or voting for but we can reasonably expect because of their platform-
-Repealing Obamacare
-Reversing the decision on equal marriage rights
-Upping government spending on stopping immigration
-Tax reform across the board
-Possibly dissolving nafta
-Verified Economist-condemned economic policies
-Getting rid of all protections for LGBT individuals
-Dismissing environmental reform and denying climate change
all i can think of off the top of my head
so obamacare gets wiped out and replaced with a more expensive plan
Pence tries to strip gays of their rights and might succeed
two examples of what I fear will happen when Trump takes office
More expensive being a plan that rakes in more money for the rich and royally fucks over those in need of any sort of care.
and nixon too
we were pretty measurably worse off after both and damage hasn't really even repaired today
But we lived
Don't forget Wilson, he literally had people "silenced" :v:
Oh hi gun shots.
Pence is speaking.
I closed the live stream right there.

He'll be making lots of political opponents if he decides to go after the tax code for real.
Shit WILL get done. All three, the senate, the house, and the president, are republican.
It's a double edge sword. Can be good, can be bad.
I recommend ignoring all melodramatic fuckwits who think that the US is going to become an apocalyptic wasteland.
The Senate is just barely a Republican majority. At the very least they'll have to fight to get the worst of it though.
A man was meme'd to Presidency.
Voting against ones best interests is the spiciest of memes.
The perfect end to the 2016 meme year.
thanks trumptards for ruining the entire country
my lgbt friends are flipping out, some are wondering if they should just leave the country. one has threatened to kill themselves
this is 100% your fucking fault
If you and your friends have the mental fortitude to be this shaken by trump becoming president, you have no business choosing who leads this country.
Grow up.
There's a reason why gay people can now marry in all states, and why LGBT people are getting more rights, despite this country being in favor of trump.
There's TONS of republicans and liberals that think everyone deserves those rights, much more than the amount that think they don't.
Having not seen Trump all day, seeing him walk out as the official President of the United States is truly a mindnumbing moment
what the fuck is going on
How are we going to survive as a species if we keep regularly doing shit like this to ourselves.
I'm surprised we even made it past two world wars.
"No dont you see being presidents make trump king of the world and he can just nuke everything for no reason for one because the liberal media told me he will."
It's not so much the liberal media as the words straight from his mouth or on his campaign website.
I've been hearing that trump won't do or be X for a long time, look how it turned out
Good work avoiding the question
Also winning a popularity contest isn't the same as getting someone arrested.
How can he do it???

What a great time to make a strawman.

Good maybe now the america public for do somsthing about their government instead of sitting on their ass because obama is a "funny cool guy who speaks well".
The trump train had no brakes all right, but trains with no brakes are bound to derail, the best we can hope for is an early impeachment and get left with a usual republican bible basher.
lol you guys are acting like Republicans in 2008/2012.
the world is not going to fucking end lmao
Voting against ones best interests is the spiciest of memes.
Because everyone who voted for trump voted as a big joke right?
nobody could ever possibly see something in his policies or what he represents that they feel should be in the white house. Naw, just them alt right nazis and their stupid frogs. Yessir
Trump opening with compliments to the Clinton campaign and a united public. This is a good sign that he's going to treat it with respect
who toxxed themselves?
lol you guys are acting like Republicans in 2008/2012.

It makes significantly more sense to be worried about the implications of a Trump presidency than the Obama presidency. One actually knows what they're doing, the other does not.
Asking anyone that knows Trump's speeches better. What does this mean for us, your Eastern European allies? Is Trump friendly to Russia?
his victory speech is a lot more tolerant than i expected
