I do have to admit, the people that thought it was a special effect before the shooting started are dumb. If they were playing Titanic, you wouldn't see them flood the theater, would you? Even then, if they wanted to for whatever insane reason, it'd cost a metric fuckton to ship all that water to fill a theater.
I'm sure his asshole will get a lot of visits.
Why do you guys think this is okay thing to say?
I do have to admit, the people that thought it was a special effect before the shooting started are dumb. Even then, if they wanted to for whatever insane reason, it'd cost a metric fuckton to ship all that water to fill a theater.
You simply cannot compare to this Titanic and the very idea of that is stupid on multiple levels. For one, having some guy dress up and come in during the movie would cost a fraction of the price of flooding a theater. Ignoring that, I could definitely see where people would think it's just an act. A popular movie comes out and it's the midnight release. I could see where they were coming from thinking it's part of the show. Seeing some guy barge in to the theater during the movie dressed in something and doing something akin to what you'd find in the movie could easily be seen as part of the show. They only realized that he was an actual killer after he began firing the gun. It's not that far fetched to assume that he was just part of the act. Quite honestly if I was in this situation I'd probably assume the same thing. I mean, when's the last time you've heard of an armed man slaughtering over a dozen people and injuring over fifty at a theater? I've never heard that happen. It probably wouldn't even cross my mind that he's indeed a real threat until he fires a gun. Point being, the people who thought it was part of the act aren't stupid. I'm sure most people in a situation like that would assume it's part of the act. Even if some people did think it was real they probably didn't run away because of the peer pressure. "Oh, everyone else is still sitting, must be some elaborate viral stuff." Because of the sporadic nature of this incident you simply can't blame the people as there was really no way to know it was real until he started firing.
Police have determined that they can't defuse the booby trap. They're going to detonate instead. http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/07/20/us-usa-shooting-denver-apartment-idUSBRE86J0VH20120720
Why do you guys think this is okay thing to say?
Don't even try to say some rape isn't deserved for a man who killed over a dozen innocent people and injured almost 100 people.
What I don't get is why it's such a fucking bigger deal that there were children that got shot. People got shot, doesn't matter how old they were.
Because lots of people have kids, and the idea of them getting hurt is fucking terrifying.
Why do you guys think this is okay thing to say?
Honestly, it's true. Guys who kill kids are not exactly... left alone, so to speak... Frankly, whatever he gets is too good for him. My heart goes out to those who lost loved ones to this poor excuse for a human being.
news says he acted alone, but one of the witnesses who was only a few seats away from him says he went to the emergency exit and looked like he was signalling for someone after he took a phone call? whats up with that
Inaccurate information. It could be on the part of the witness, could be on the part of the news. We'll just have to wait and see.
Because lots of people have kids, and the idea of them getting hurt is fucking terrifying.
Everyone has parents too, or friends, loved ones. Same deal, doesn't make it worse for a kid to die than for an adult to die.
Everyone has parents too, or friends, loved ones. Same deal, doesn't make it worse for a kid to die than for an adult to die.
True, and honest to god, this is going to sound fucking horrible, but if you think about it, it's true. Or maybe I'm just a monster, I don't know, if that's the case, load down the ratings on me. I honestly would rather die/be injured younger than older. When you're young, you don't.. really.. remember much, I guess.. I mean, it'd be a life changing experience, but you'd have more time to get over it if you were young. I'd rather this happen to me when I'm 10, then, say, when I'm 20 and life is really just starting.
Don't even try to say some rape isn't deserved for a man who killed over a dozen innocent people and injured almost 100 people.
It doesn't matter if he deserves it or not. What matters is you are either condoning a prison system that's shitty enough to allow rape to occur or you are condoning a prison system that uses rape as punishment. If you think that the only people who get raped in prison are people who you would consider deserving of it then you are an idiot. People like you are the reason there's no public outcry of the prevalence of prison rape in America, and that makes our country look like a hive of savages who cry out for rape and blood.
And now we wait for the jackasses to start exploiting this tragedy: "GUNS R BAD, THEY SHUD BE BANNED." "BATMAN IS BAD 4 DA KIDZ, HE MAKES PEOPLE CRAZY." "VIOLENT MOVIES R EVIL, THEY MAKE VIOLINS REALLY HAPPN." The media seems to be, for the most part, handling this tragedy with a suprising amount of respect, so I won't be so much suprised as I will be sickened if/when some ambulence-chasing fuck decides to exploit everyone's fear and sorrow to further their moronic crusade... Seriously, stuff like this.... it's just.... ugh... Hopefully this guy gets what's coming to him, and then some.

A lengthy prison sentence, however, is.
If he apparently wants to die, I think they should keep him alive as long as possible, locked up of course. Just living might be torture enough for him if he thought he was going to get shot by police or executed for his crimes.
Rape isn't deserved for a man who killed over a dozen innocent people and injured almost 100 people. A lengthy prison sentence, however, is.
Yeah, basically this.
I do not consider this man a human being. He disgusts me.

I'd never see someone and remember their face from TV(unless it was a celebrity). Besides that everyone knows they arrested the guy so even if someone thought the guy looked familiar they'd have no reason to assume it was the murderer walking free.
i just don't get how he got in without anyone calling the cops? wouldn't the people at the front desk or ticket counter have noticed some dude lugging a shotgun around wearing riot gear?
Someone let him in through the emergency backdoor. That cell phone story really is conspicuous, especially since others have claimed he signalled someone after finishing the ''call''.
This is a horrible situation, but you have to wonder what's the motive behind the shooter.
Delusional ass said that he did this because all the tickets were sold out for the showing. This also had to be a two-person job because theatre backdoors only open outwards.
