Nah man, you would probably know if someone you knew was there
True I suppose. I just haven't talked to them in a long while/can't get in touch easily at this point. Also, I didn't even realize that was you until I saw your last post. Get on steam dude.
Prison rape is a serious issue, and a big problem of the American correctional system. But my only, only point, was that that punishment would more befit the crime than a death sentence. For the precise reason that being confined to that is being confined to one of the worst punishments this country has to offer, be it a sponsored part of the justice system or otherwise. In other news, my friend who was missing came up on the list. 18 years old. R.I.P. man.
Jesus man. My condolences to you, and your friends family. I'm not good with this kind of stuff.. but... I wish the best for you and your friends family. I really don't know what to say... just... I hope you can find peace.
yes because this happens on a daily basis of course.
I said the odds that you'll be shot in a theatre are increased, not that it happens on a regular basis.
Like...it's cool. He's having fun wherever he is. [editline] n [/editline] It's interesting but typing this post is the first time I've cried all day.
I don't know what to do with myself. This whole thing has just sent me sprialing into depression I can't stop reading about it I'm just so fucking mad and sad and depressed with the world I don't even live in the states. For the victims, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry your lives ended this way. You all deserved better, I'm sure. I hope you all got to make it to whatever afterlife you believed in. Friends and families of the victims, I wish you all the best. I wish you the strength to get through this. I'm sorry. I feel the need to vent my thoughts out somewhere :/ I don't even live in the states and this is pissing me off so much
I love how the shooter was an Indian immigrant (possibly a terrorist) but they don't even mention his illegal background.
I don't think there is anything to love in this thread.
I don't even live in the states and this is pissing me off so much
You don't need to live here to feel the pain, man. We're all people reeling from the pain that evil individuals inflict upon us. It's a universal feeling for those with consciences...

I don't know how anyone can be shocked and surprised that this happened at this point, after everything that has happened in the last 14 years in that country.

Damn, I feel depressed as shit. Don't know anybody who was affected, but i feel for those who were. Knowing that this happened close to where i live, I honestly feel scared now. Stuff like this could happen at any moment, and your entire life could be gone in seconds... I hope the gunman gets life in prison, and he has to live with this on his conscience for the rest of his sad, pathetic life
Looking at all of this makes me realize further than I already know how short life can be. I offer my sincerest condolences zzzZZZZ. :(
My cousin was at a theater only 10 miles away from the shooting during the premier. His life could have been taken if he decided to go to the wrong theater. I'm glad he's okay but tragedy gets you thinking.

My condolences go to all the victims families and all the injured, but It's seriously hard to feel empathy over a computer screen. I can understand people making jokes about this, because if you weren't there, you really can't imagine what these people went through. I just hope the victims didn't have to suffer much :(
it's really not hard to empathize unless you have no contact with humans ever
I mean, of course you feel sadness for the victims and families, but it's nothing compared to what people who where really there would experience.
Drove by about 1pm and saw the same as the rest of you guys are saying. Cops blocking every entrance, Sable Blvd completely closed between Alameda and Exposition. Just enjoy life while it is yours. [editline]20th July 2012[/editline]
My cousin was at a theater only 10 miles away from the shooting during the premier. Considering the number injured, odds were very good that at least one of them would have been amongst them.
Aurora's police cars don't have very imaginative designs do they
You think that's bad, you should see Denver police cars
Aurora's police cars don't have very imaginative designs do they
Seems like they have a new paint scheme every year. I was kinda digging the black and blue swoosh they had on them.
Fucking really? Real life here real people dead don't need the movie reference.
Especially from a movie that I thought was quite shit, at that. This is terrible. I really would like to know what drives a man to tear gas and shoot and entire theater of people? I mean, why on earth... It just doesn't make sense, you know? I've heard of people being shot in the ghetto, but even that is quite plausible, but a movie theater? Can you even imagine what that must be like, finally sitting down to enjoy your movie, and some guy tear gases everything and before you know it the guy next to you is shot and killed. Fucking horrible. This is one of the few cases where really hope they just put this man to death. I don't know why, I'm just so upset.
I wish the killer had to sit down, and listen to all of the accounts of the children's parents about every detail of their life, their aspirations. Just so the fucker can FEEL what hes done. If he doesn't feel it, I hope he has fun on piecemeal rations and a prisoner named Bubba for the rest of his life.
Aurora's police cars don't have very imaginative designs do they
Queensland police cars have the best design Everyone should take note
As soon as I heard about this, I likened it to a not so well known movie called 'Rampage'. It resembles it very closely as far as what the killer wore and his random selection of victims. It made it feel very real to me as I remembered just how disgusted I was at how they portrayed his psyche, and I likened this killer to him after he claimed to be the Joker. It disgusts me that someone can allow themselves to fall so far into whatever disorder, depression, or thoughts they have to want to kill other human beings. Even worse, it seems as though he will try and justify himself in some twisted fashion as he did not resist arrest.

He had to switch off all of his emotional processes to do what he did, and I doubt he turned them back on. (Yeah, I know, I'm making him sound like a robot, but I cannot find a better way to put it)
He'll realize it eventually. Maybe in a week, or in ten years, but what he did will eventually come back to him, hard
