the city is quite lovely.
Lets not get ahead of ourselves now
To Shias credit this is probably the best performance art piece I've ever seen, even if it wasn't intended to go the way it did. Long may it continue. The satellite image supposedly showing him outside watching the flag on a lawnchair with a baseball bat after the first flag was nabbed is comedy gold.
a quick check of /pol/ show that there are people working on it, the flag was located even faster than the first, but this time the flag has 24/7 guards... So it's unlikely that things will happen. [sp]current plans seem to be using a drone to drop a bucket on to the top of the flagpole, the bucket having MAGA hat/etc attached[/sp]
This is going to be something people can read about in a Uncle John's Bathroom reader in 10 years isn't it
Don't believe everything The Sun wants you to believe, the city is quite lovely. If you're ever up this way I'll gladly give you a tour and buy you a pint.
This is just a wily trick to glass me and steal my wallet, isn't it.
Lets not get ahead of ourselves now
Compared to other UK cities, I'd say there's a lot of loveliness to be found (eg. FACT is regularly home to cool exhibits.) It's a lot like Manchester, except with more seagulls and less trams. [editline]23rd March 2017[/editline]
This is just a wily trick to glass me and steal my wallet, isn't it.
Har har har believe what you want, but if you ever actually come here the offer still stands. :v:
Don't believe everything The Sun wants you to believe, the city is quite lovely. If you're ever up this way I'll gladly give you a tour and buy you a pint.
I can confirm this, my travels of the UK have led me to the conclusion that Liverpool is the only place where people are as sound as the Isle of Man. Also Everton <3
K so I did a lot of googling. HWNDU is not officially shut down yet, that was a fan page. It may or may not still be relocated, no word from Shia yet. It's noon PST so he's probably just waking up :v: [t]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C7nREzPXQAEzygu.jpg[/t] These dudes scaled the building but apparently couldn't get the flag down. I can't tell if they escaped or got arrested, but FACT then took the flag down themselves after the cops told them it was too dangerous.
This is going to be something people can read about in a Uncle John's Bathroom reader in 10 years isn't it
Holy shit this is exactly the kind of thing that the BRI would write about "The Great Internet Flag Caper"
I would pay to see that as a sports or TV series.
Australia once had a TV show "The Great Chase". Was pretty cool.
put it in ISIS territory
put it in ISIS territory
They'll get Russia to bomb it.
Why not rent a storage garage and put it there?
Why not rent a storage garage and put it there?
They'd still find based off of roach breeding migrations and the sound of the earth's various crusts moving.
The gift that keeps on giving.
If Shia sends the flag to mars would /pol/ figure out how to get there before trump leaves office
Shia should give the flag that cute girl who works at the Gamestop.
If they want longevity of the project their best bet would be to put it in low orbit/upper atmosphere with a weather balloon. Then their real only worry is the environment, not trolls.
Why not rent a storage garage and put it there?
It wouldn't take long before someone says "I recognize that storage garage interior!" and use the sun's position to locate it.
It will probably end up on one of those wifi ballons Facebook wants to do or something.
What if he hides it somewhere in Chernobyl :v:?
What if he hides it somewhere in Chernobyl :v:?
I doubt Shia would legitimately hide a flag in Chernobyl, suddenly the STALKER community would hunt it down and replace it with a flag going "CHEEKI BREEKI"
They were chased by armed police but escaped according to /pol/acks
Chased by armed police... in the UK? Nah
Chased by armed police... in the UK? Nah
I saw the post and it didn't make any mention of "armed" police. Just normal police.
Could also have been armed due to the recent incident, but I doubt it.
Don't believe everything The Sun wants you to believe, the city is quite lovely. If you're ever up this way I'll gladly give you a tour and buy you a pint.
And then I'll bottle you and rob you both
They were chased by armed police but escaped according to /pol/acks
Wonder why they had armed police out for some /pol/acks on a rooftop.
the flag shit is silly (really the weird chanting was a dumb thing to push at the beginning so I'll give it that), it's far from the majority of garbage that keeps getting brushed off as jokes/memes and considered mistaken comments that somebody 'didn't actually mean' across this past year. For some it's nervously laughing off things that don't make sense, for others it's saying "X person isn't as extreme as they seem" to feel better about themselves because if the person WAS as wacky as the implications at hand, it might mean you're actively siding with fascists/antifas/anarchists/dickbags of any sort and that paints a bad light on you we've all seen the "man nervously says 'this surely spells the end of the trump campaign' for the Xth time" jokes, but it's pretty indicative of how people have been handling a lot lately, just ignoring a small problem instead of saying "hold up, that's some shit", letting it snowball and become extremely tough to handle later on but haha what a dumb pretentious """art""" project go meme on it its just a joke and deserves jokes!!
What are you even trying to say? Someone says something about a flag and a dumb art project and some autistic 4channers and you start going off about Antifa or whatever as if you're alex jones who manages to turn a Grob 115's trim tab into an illuminati conspiracy. Shia's art project IS just a dumb meme and it does deserve getting memed on. What's some /pol/acks after a flag gonna snowball into? What's a meme man with a meme project gonna snowball into? Insanity and crippling depression maybe, for Shia.
but FACT then took the flag down themselves after the cops told them it was too dangerous.
Wait, the police told FACT that the flag being there is too dangerous?
Are brit cops even allowed to carry weapons
I think some in London and other "important" places are, but they are usually guards of some sort afaik. Someone feel free to correct me.
I think some in London and other "important" places are, but they are usually guards of some sort afaik. Someone feel free to correct me.
Every police force has armed police - they just keep their guns in the car and only use them when needed. There are plenty of armed police, it's just that you don't see them with their weapons unless they are guards. They also have special flying squads that are on a constant state of readiness (suited and armed) to respond if needed.
If they want longevity of the project their best bet would be to put it in low orbit/upper atmosphere with a weather balloon. Then their real only worry is the environment, not trolls.
I'd actually believe it if it turned out /pol/ cobbled together a shitty rocket or a homemade railgun with the sole purpose of knocking it out of orbit
