Wow this is some serious shit right here, time to get the fucking ball rolling to start some police brutality cases and human rights violations cases. This is un-American to the core of what being an American means.
Seems like violence is the way to go, might not be a good thing but it produces results.(seeing that the cops are taking away free speech)
Seems like violence is the way to go, might not be a good thing but it produces results.(seeing that the cops are taking away free speech)
Alright, have fun with that movement then. I enjoyed my stay while it lasted.
My friend was in L.A and saw all this shit go down. He was describing to me over Skype and it was horrible O_o
I believe the police need to be held accountable for their actions, this shit is going too far. The police have jurisdiction over a lot of people, meaning if people got off their lazy asses and actually wanted to make a difference, they could easily over power the police and institute new officers. Some police officers get off scott free sometimes over fucked up shit and something needs to be done about it.
b-but they could just leave the park!!!
Well I always knew he was gonna end up getting arrested just not for this. He's still keeping up his writing I see though.
in my opinion a 'good' person cares more about his fellow man and doing the right thing than a paycheck.
That's untrue. The fact of the matter is, when you are in that uniform you act the role. This has been tested by scientists. You can get reasonable, nice people, but when you put them in a role where their boss is not a reasonable, nice man, they won't act that way. Employees, underlings, minions, they all act with their bosses' personality or job role to some extent. This is exactly why I am against prosecuting SS who took orders in concentration camps. In other conditions they might not have agree'd with the genocide, but their position made them into a being that had to carry out the orders. It is unrealistic and unfair to ask someone to go against their job duties for the sake of morality, because psychologically they are usually incapable.
you know i'm struggling to understand the hate on the occupy wall street thing. it's for a noble cause and those people only want what's right. yet people complain about how it will do nothing and they're all idiots. a decade or two ago they would be seen as pretty much martyrs, kind of like gandhi was i guess? but now they're just "lazy assholes who should have done something else than what they liked in school". GOD, THINGS SURE ARE FUCKED UP
Such brutal forces are unneeded.
Well I always knew he was gonna end up getting arrested just not for this. He's still keeping up his writing I see though.
there's... more than one writer on a tv show
They need to add rags or something to the inside of those zip cuffs, people keep suffering nerve damage from them.
how did they manage to handcuff a manatee?
I couldn't participate in something like this. I would unfortunately probably get too emotional and resist and fight back; and I know I would immediately be arrested.
he was voluntarily standing down and then the cop just went out and hurt him? wtf
This is disgusting.
I'd like to see this animated.
I wonder if it was Officers Coon and Keepdarkydown again. But seriously, this is why we need the tea party on our side. I want to see them do this shit when there are guns involved. Just recently between this and the video of the girl being stripped in Melbourne, I'm fucking sick and tired of the way the police treat Occupiers
The police are just hired thugs.
Ok, I have a semi-serious question. Why don't the people at the protests do citizen's arrests on the cops? Excessive use of force is a police misconduct, is that not grounds enough to do a citizen's arrest?
That's fucking horrid. Also makes me wonder if they only write/complain when they are mistreated or when a cop treats them right. (Would you write an article 'a cop arrested me harmlessly?')
Ok, I have a semi-serious question. Why don't the people at the protests do citizen's arrests on the cops? Technically speaking, they can do so. But good luck arresting a handful of officers out of an entire police squad in riot gear.
i tell you, if they were to pull that on me i'd wrench their gun from them or pepperspray.
no you fucking wouldn't you fat greasy armchair wannabe badass, I hate seeing these kinds of stupid comments. you probably would not do shit. It's easy to say you WOULD when you're sitting on your computer doing nothing, but REALITY is different.
Fuck, I hope he doesn't get hurt at all. Family Guy is kinda shitty now, but American Dad is on the up. I'd hate to see it end this way.
I support occupy (only in the USA where it makes alot of sense) While this might be a bit over the top, it isnt that bad. These are isolated cases and you always hear only one side of the story. The protesters are doing something they are not allowed todo annymore. They will just stay sitting there if they would just be fined, thats why the police keep em detained for 7 hours to make them think its not worth it.
I really don't understand the mindset of these cops. They're clearly just blood-thirsty. No one with a set of morals would do this to anyone.

whats most disgusting about this is that nothing will be done about the police brutality.
Nerve damage can be permanent. Sue the cop who did it for police brutality combined with assault with intent to cause a disability. Why are the other cops so apathetic when this cop does it, though?
I wonder if they will write an episode with a theme on protesting. Didn't the last one question the loyalty of the police?
