I don't think half the people in this thread realize that Lionhead is owned by Microsoft.
Game wouldn't be a loss either way. Not that GFWL is bad, but why do we care about Fable 3 when they never even released Fable 2 and Fable 3 is laden with bugs, the PC port will only be worse I'm sure.
I'd rather have all my PC games on either Battle.Net or Steam, it's convenient, fast, functional.
GWFL is only half decent if you have a xbox live account and you're into achievements. It is the only thing I like about it. Other than that I would rather use steam or at most no DRM at all.
Trying to avoid having your game pirated Force a system that is known for being shit among gamers GG Lionhead
what's so bad about gfwl?
I've had numerous bad experiences with it including -Not being able to update -Not being able to play online without being up-to-date -Not being able to save your singleplayer game without signing up, having an internet connection or being up-to-date -Taking a long time to update The worst experience I had with it was with Red Faction Guerrilla when I couldn't save my singleplayer game or play online without updating GFWL and when I tried to update it my whole game crashed and it didn't update. I had to actually find a user made patch because other people were having the same problem

Also, you don't need a constant internet connection be able to play your games, only ubisoft's drm requires that. Your problems with RFG were because of the fact that the pc version of the game was a horrible port; had nothing to do with gfwl.
lionhead is going to make a big mistake since pirates if they get a ID number stolen or from a friend from any GFML they can play online
I bought Far Cry from a game store and surprise, surprise, the CD key had been grabbed by a keygen somewhere around the world, leaving me unable to play online
I can't even get GFWL to work on my computer...
