Re-post from another thread, but I think it fits here better: Here's what GTA VI should be: SETTING - VICE CITY, but bigger, more expansive, everglades, hillbillies, crocs, swamps, airboats, and of coarse, Vice City itself. CONTEXT - basically Vice City, but here's the catch - the game's story will be played in two different timelines: in the 80's (80's cars, clothing, tech, music, etc.) and in modern times (modern cars, clothing, tech, music, etc.). When you switch to the different time periods, you see a fast-forward through time as architecture, cars, clothing styles, road-ways, and people change. The game will also feature multiple characters, connected through the times. An example: in the 80's you play as Character A, but in modern times, you play as Character B who is working with a much older Character A. With this set-up, you give fans the best of both worlds: time period (80's) set GTA game and a modern day GTA game, set in one of the most favored GTA locations, but with much much more. I've had this idea in my head for a while now, but haven't expressed it before.
That'd be pretty fucking cool, but that'd more than likely limit Rockstar in some capabilities by having two maps set up differently for the eras.
please don't be a console exclusive again - I'd love not having to avoid spoilers for almost a year.
I really hope it's vice city, I loved GTA vice city so much, but I don't know how they could do another one. I mean they could do a modern setting for it but I dunno, would still be cool though. Would be better if they cover more of Florida than just Miami.
swamps and crocodiles. and disney world
just make it somewhere thats not in america
GTA Donbass or I swear to god
GTA in Tokyo would have been amazing. damn. anyways, its going to be vice city GTA VI(CE)
This. There is no way R* will miss an opportunity for a name like that.
GTA Donbass or I swear to god
I would like to see a new Mercenaries game take somewhere Eastern european
just make it somewhere thats not in america
As cool as it would be, I feel like everyone is just going to scream "NO IT ONLY WORKS WHEN IT'S SET IN THE USA", just like with Fallout games. It's nice to dream though.
Isn't that just Driver: Parallel Lines?
Naw dawg, cause it's gta. Actually I've never heard of that game before, I stpped paying attention to the Driver series after Driv3r. It is pretty similar, fml. :vs:
If they don't do a US city in GTA 6, I wonder if they'll go back to London? They had that one London game a long ass time ago, and a GTA could work in London. Would rather take London over a modern Vice City but I have a feeling they're keeping it in America for the 6th one.
After the horror of GTA V multiplayer I don't think I can trust Rockstar not to screw up another game.
After the horror of GTA V multiplayer I don't think I can trust Rockstar not to screw up another game.
But that's just the multiplayer. GTAV was an amazing game with enough stuff in it even without the multiplayer.
After the horror of GTA V multiplayer I don't think I can trust Rockstar not to screw up another game.
That seems like a bit of an exaggeration. It could've been better but it wasnt THAT bad.
I want GTA India.
I wonder if they're going to do multiple characters again, that was something I thought was going to end up like a cheap gimmick but they pulled it off so well I wouldn't mind seeing that again.
That seems like a bit of an exaggeration. It could've been better but it wasnt THAT bad.
Though it could've been better, but nobody was allowed to do that. Look at all the shut down multiplayer mods.
After the horror of GTA V multiplayer I don't think I can trust Rockstar not to screw up another game.
I enjoy Multiplayer, what's wrong with it? And don't say "I get blown up every 5 seconds" because that's just how the game is. GTA:O now compared to launch is leaps and bounds better and more enjoyable.
I hope this time I can make money to use during the campaing, not after.
How about "Fuck America" Europe everybody? Undiscovered potential? Moscow, Palermo, Berlin, London.
europe is pretty homogeneous and boring
just make it somewhere thats not in america
GTA would be fucking shit if it wasn't set in America.
GTA would be fucking shit if it wasn't set in America.
Well, Sleeping Dogs was pretty good.
GTA would be fucking shit if it wasn't set in America.
why
Europe everybody? Undiscovered potential? Moscow, Palermo, Berlin, London.
It must be so surreal to get a full scale gta game set in your own home city( or at least in a city based on it ). Like, ride the streets you see irl every day or visit some famous places. Americans are lucky.
I enjoy Multiplayer, what's wrong with it? And don't say "I get blown up every 5 seconds" because that's just how the game is. GTA:O now compared to launch is leaps and bounds better and more enjoyable.
I played the multiplayer about 3 weeks ago and all I kept seeing was people cheating, it's fun when you get some decent players but there is always that one ass that ruins it, I've also had problems with frequent timeouts which is really annoying considering how long it takes to load the damn game. While I enjoyed the single player there is no denying Rockstar is a shit company, that more than anything else makes me want to avoid buying their products.
Honestly the greater Philadelphia area would be perfect. It has everything, a giant city, the suburbs, and farms. Throw Jersey in there too if you'd like and you'd have the equivalent of a lifeless desert
GTA Tokyo. Hell yes, i fully support this! Make it happen!
I'd love to have something completely fresh, Sleeping Dogs had such a refreshing new locale
I'd love to have something completely fresh, Sleeping Dogs had such a refreshing new locale
Yeah Sleeping Dogs was great. There are some things that GTA could learn from it.
I wouldn't mind a GTA game set in Chicago.
I wouldn't mind a GTA game set in Chicago.
WatchDogs sans hacking?
