Why not a futuristic GTA set in a multicultural city where you can have a mix of all kind of cultures?
Not gonna lie, Toronto would be super funky, it has a lot of bizarre brutalist architecture. I'd love to see their take on Canadian culture. Though, let's be fair, the writing and world of GTA V was already past the point of 'on the nose' satire wise.
I feel like Vancouver would be a better Canadian city for GTA than Toronto. Having it heavily focud on Asian crime syndicates wouldn't be too far fetched, and that hasn't been done in the main series yet.
"make it somewhere outside of america"
lol

Every post 2D GTA game is set in an multicultural city already though.

I want this theme to make a comeback.
I would love another GTA game set in the early 90s or late 80s. Preferably like a map like GTA:V, one large city and then a huge amount of wooded rural areas. Maybe set somewhere like Washington or Oregon. I don't like all the more modern GTAs like IV and V, because as soon as 2000 hits all the vehicles get really 'samey' and don't really feel or any different.
Also bring back the ranger and police ranger, I loved that fucking thing in SA. You can't deny that these things look awesome.

So.... like any major American city?
The reason gta works the best in America is because half the charm of the game is satire, and since American culture/news is kept up with by most people in most first world nations, its easier to make understandable satire of our politics and lifestyles than, say, Germany, where most of the market wouldn't really "get" satire of Germany, or at least no where near as many people who would get it when done about the states.

you mean gloryhole themepark?
My only hope is that the next GTA is set in a time before GPS systems.

GTA:Vancouver - your crime motivation is simply trying to make your rent payment
Gta London remake

I'll be honest, I would like to see a modern depiction of GTA2's world.

^ Kinda reminds me of Haven City from Jak 2, but I like the look of it.

^ SWAT and Soldier concepts.

^ 3D renders of a couple of GTA2's cars. Taxi and Copcar are kinda silly, Jefferson (red one) looks pretty alright though.

What is that fuckin Old Snake?
GTA London please
Or GTA Paris or Moscow, etc
No more Murica please
GTA London please

But thats half the point, satire of American culture.
At this point satire of Russian culture might work though.

You're honestly kidding yourself if you think they wont put it America again.

Oh hell yeah
We need a country where authorities practice extreme predjudice, Europe doesn't really fit the bill on that, but I think Russian cop ak-47 battles would be rad (in the snow!!)
I would love for a GTA game set in WWII. Imagine it, being a rockabilly youngster and doing crimes for some mafia families, end getting caught and offered to enrole to get a pardon. Fight in Italy and meet some family relatives of the same people you worked for. End creating a black market of food, women and drugs between the post war Europe and the USA.

That sounds like just about the most un-GTA game you could possibly think of.
I just hope it's not set in modern times again.
How about a GTA set in Barcelona? Maybe then this place would get redeemed after such awful and shameful display THAT ONE game was for the city.
The Wheelman? :v:
I really want a cyberpunk GTA game.
GTA Milton Keynes

No one would make it past the first roundabout
A re-imagining of Vice City would be a perfect successor to V. The only issue is terrain variation. You have no mountains or anything in Florida, totally flat. So you'd have to use swamps, and possibly islands to add variation enough. They need something totally opposite of V's deserts and arid environments, I can not imagine them going to Las Venturas again this time around, it'd feel so samey.
Whatever they do, the world design will be on point. It's amazing what their environmental designers can whip up.

Considering GTA VI won't come out in a while, and they do have the budget and technology, they can probably pull off doing Vice City and another big location for variety.
I think vice city being Miami and having the deep south to the north while having even more of the Caribbean to the south would be fantastic, plus they could put in a spaceport which could work in so many ways for GTA
Florida is just too perfect of a state to satire right now
What about the dlc for V?
Have some high-up shady investment dealer get pounced on by the FIB and escapes out of America into Russia or Mexico or some weird place, like a reverse GTA4.
I thought part of the point of GTA's were to spoof/satirize american life? I know the GTA London game exists, I'm talking about the last 5ish games.

Fuck that, Australia. Have it in like 1980 so it's before the gun ban, and a bit of a homage to Mad Max where the police and biker gangs fight for control over the streets.
And you could somehow fit in the part where the US invaded Australia in both the 3D and HD universe lmao
