I thought they said she was in stable condition
All stable means is that there isn't a 'they might suddenly die within the next five minutes unless we actively continue to keep them alive' risk about them. It doesn't mean they're gonna pull through.
I thought they said she was in stable condition
Stable just means she isn't at immediate risk of dying, it doesn't mean she's recovering or doing well. As long as she was apparently not breathing for, I wouldn't be surprised if that had something to do with it. You can also have multiple heart attacks within a short period of time as well. Some people can have a dozen in a day. My great-grandfather died that way in the 1960s. He had one in his sleep and woke up blind. My great-grandmother and a family friend took him to the hospital. They called my grandparents (who lived in Colorado at the time and were getting ready to make the trip back to Missouri to see him) and explained what has happened, and that he was in the hospital for it. They called back a little while later and said he was doing much better and was talking and acting normal. Then they called maybe an hour or two later and said that he'd had another one (so massive that in the doctor's words his heart "exploded") and had died. It's possible that something similar happened to Fisher. It's a shame either way. An acting legend is gone. RIP
SON OF A BITCH. I mean, I guess it was inevitable because of her history, but FUCK man...
Fuck everything.
I'd like to remind people, Betty White is still alive. She's 94. How is she managing to stay alive this long?
Parents shouldn't outlive their kids. That would be awful.
I'd like to remind people, Betty White is still alive. She's 94. How is she managing to stay alive this long?
stan lee still hasnt died once you get over 80 your basically immortal
stan lee still hasnt died once you get over 80 your basically immortal
Unless you're Leonard Nimoy apparently.
Fuck 2016.
I thought this was fake when I woke up to this all over my facebook feed. :(
Unless you're Leonard Nimoy apparently.
and christopher lee plenty of people die past 80
Just got back from taking my mom to see Rogue One, who absolutely adored it. We both had a more somber attitude going in and coming out, hearing the news right before showtime. Rest in peace Carrie, you'll always be our princess.
Wasn't there a shot in Empire Strikes back where Carrie fisher is in a scene with Ford, and she got a smear of cocaine on his vest?
There was, but it wasn't coke on his vest. The scene showed her "coke nail", it was popular during the 70's/80's to grow out your pinky nail to create a "spoon" for scooping up coke from the bag it came in. When the original trioloy was remastered/re-released they edited that scene to make her nail look normal.
Well, that's just heartbreaking. I honestly never really followed Carrie outside of star wars, but as mentioned earlier these are people we grew up with and idolised to some degree, and seeing them pass like this (and far too early in my opinion) really hits you hard. You just kinda never see it coming, they've been there since you were a baby or a child, how could they ever die right? Crazy. Rest in peace lass
"Is your body decaying and death marching ever closer?" Jesus. 6 days before her death, too. If only she knew how soon it actually was. [editline]derp[/editline] I know she was only quoting the article, but it's still pretty ironic and depressing.
Christ. Now there are reports of Debbie Reynolds in hospital following a possible stroke.
DAMNIT
Parents shouldn't outlive their kids. That would be awful.
Well... shit.
Christ. Now there are reports of Debbie Reynolds in hospital following a possible stroke.
she's gone :(
The tragic part is her mother is still alive. It's a terrible event for the child to pass before their parents.
You jinxed it, you monster.
Christ. Now there are reports of Debbie Reynolds in hospital following a possible stroke.
She died 2 days after her daughter
and christopher lee plenty of people die past 80
especially the ones who tend not to have alcohol or drug habits, like Carrie and George did. Are we really that shocked by these untimely deaths?
especially the ones who tend not to have alcohol or drug habits, like Carrie and George did. Are we really that shocked by these untimely deaths?
there are people who smoke and drink into their 80s/90s it's more damaging to some than others
there are people who smoke and drink into their 80s/90s it's more damaging to some than others
It mostly depends on amounts though.
