FOX: Majority of Likely Voters Agree 'Socialist' Accurately Describes Obama

europe isn't socialist
Is socialism really that big of a jump? I thought it was common in the world. All this rhetoric about the wonderful advances of European democracies and all this policy reforming government into a means of distribution and service...and yet the term "socialist" is somehow poisonous?
America can be retarded about buzzwords.
I give up. There are far too many foreigners and too few articulate/intelligent Americans on FP to win an argument over politics. To be quite honest, I do not believe that the US is the best country in the world. I'd have to say that Norway is. But the minute that they run out of oil, it will go back to being taxed...a lot. I just like the low taxes in America...I'll be totally honest. I think there should be at least one nation in the world that is far right. Is that so wrong? Sometimes a bit of vareity can be useful. Capitalism (and the prospect of the American Dream) made America an extremely powerful, prosperous, and wonderful nation...and we weren't even in debt. Its all falling downhill. The right won't fix it, and the left won't fix it. I'd like to conclude with opposing quotes-
Poor people have been voting democrat for 50 years. And guess what? They are still poor.
-Charles Barkley, One Extraordinary Negro
Art is the great democrat, calling forth creative genius from every sector of society, disregarding race or religion or wealth or color
-JFK
PS- As far right as I may stand, I am not a republican. I refuse to watch FOX

Too many foreigners...? This is a british site for fucks sake. Americans can win politcal debates on here, often do, they just aren't far right, in fact, it's just far right people that have trouble winning arguments. Why? Because it seems to be, that people on the far right are incapable of rational, reasonable arguments that take into account the natural way things are, and not just ayn randian ways of stating that a complete free market works.
You know why we don't have a far right, free market country(We probably do, i'm in a hurry though, and don't care enough to look) is because you'll quickly see economic collapse, and extreme exploitation of the poor. Not some miraculous bullshit capitalist dream state. That's not how it works, and that's never how it'll work. Part of the human nature should be to help the fellow man.
It is part of human nature to help the fellow man. It is also human nature to exploit others for personal gain. Those who are offered help often abuse it.
Also, foreign relative to myself...sheesh
And before you get off about helping the fellow man, look up the Uk's welfare abuse rate. The system rewards the idle and punishes the working. The US is far from perfect, but the UK isnt any closer.
And why would we see economic collapse with a far right, free market country? Back before the days of easy credit and an abusively consumerist populace, the U.S. was thriving. You can't fix fiscal irresponsibility among the general populace with welfare...it takes tough love, not free money

Welfare has created a generation of waste.

Because free markets don't work. An unregulated free market leads to extreme exploitation. Industrial revolution england anyone? oh wait, that's the EXACT EXAMPLE OF FREE MARKET FAILURE no one that endorses true free markets ever acknowledges.

Oh man, I love how you've never been helped by the government, and worked hard to be born into a well-off family! Man, all that hard work in the womb to be born into the right family, must have been killer.

Well, it worked for some people.
Well, it worked for some people.
The exploitation of many is not excusable by their success.
Welfare has created a generation of waste.
no, stupid businesses and some stupid laws have created a generation of waste
Oh man, I love how you've never been helped by the government, and worked hard to be born into a well-off family! Man, all that hard work in the womb to be born into the right family, must have been killer.
Welfare was designed to help people up and get them on their feet and off welfare, instead we got a generation of people leaching off the hard workers. If you call that a working system, someone needs to help you.

Oh, no I certainly don't call welfare fraud a good thing. However, I would have welfare fraud and people surviving rather than the free market system of "LOL NO MONEY YOU DIE NOW"
no, stupid businesses and some stupid laws have created a generation of waste
My brain can't interpret the stupidity of this sentence.
Maybe you don't understand free market systems don't always favour those who work hard. There are many hard workers on welfare.

Oh... the jokes I should make at this.

The "LOL NO MONEY YOU DIE NOW" gave people a reason to work rather than your idea of letting people leach off others to survive.

Except working hard isn't always enough. Sometimes it's luck, or being fucked over, but hard work isn't always enough.
Welfare works great in theory...but not practically. All I know is that where I live, the percentage of unemployed, spanish speaking latinos is near null. The percentage of unemployed black people is tremendous...its almost as if they would rather collect welfare and bitch to the NAACP instead of getting off their asses and working like the latinos. I know everyone hates the mexicans, but they are very industrious, and will become a vital asset to American diversity following a few generations in the melting pot

If you drive to downtown dallas, you will not see one fucking homeless mexican. They work their asses off because they arent eligible for welfare. I wish I could say the same for black (and white) people
Except working hard isn't always enough. Sometimes it's luck, or being fucked over, but hard work isn't always enough.
So you're saying that people who worked hard through school to pursue they're profession or to make something of their life was all by luck?
So you're saying that people who worked hard through school to pursue they're profession or to make something of their life was all by luck?
A good part of it yes.
I'm sorry, but if you think for a FUCKING second that a hard working, industrious black kid out of the hoods can get into a good school and make something of his life before just becoming a drug runner for money or doing something else you're crazy.
There are literally thousands and thousands of cases where people aren't born equal and don't have equal opportunity.
I worked hard through school to get to where I am. Guess what? I also know hundreds and hundreds of lazy motherfuckers that go to better universities and schools than I do due to luck. Oh wait, that doesn't happen in your fucking world.

Yeah, it's those lazy black people and those spoiled white people that just don't work!
No it isn't, everyone has their own reasons and I can't justify even half of them, but you act like people have equal chances when that is the biggest boat of bullshit to ever float down any river.
You dont need to go to college to work hard :/
Just getting a menial, blue collar job and raising a family of industrious kids is all it takes

Not everyone has to go to a top notch school to get a job.
So what you're saying is we should keep paying for the drug runners or losers of life.

It sure helps when having a degree is considered the norm, and not having anything makes getting any job almost impossible. At least a life supporting one outside of the trades.
Not everyone has to go to a top notch school to get a job.
No, you're right, but it helps.
You dont even have to go to college to get a fucking job. Do you think that these mexicans who work there asses off to raise great kids and support their families are astrophysicists from princeton?
So you're saying that people who worked hard through school to pursue they're profession or to make something of their life was all by luck?
No, he's saying that people who don't have enough to get by aren't always like that because they're lazy.
Yes, I hate to see people abuse welfare, but not everyone has always had a choice to do right in their life. And while i'm not defending people who are welfare frauds and whatever else, your method is to simply erase welfare, let millions die of starvation, and make a whole country look like a group of heartless opportunists.
My brain can't interpret the stupidity of this sentence.
I've said stupider things
You dont even have to go to college to get a fucking job. Do you think that these mexicans who work there asses off to raise great kids and support their families are astrophysicists from princeton?
No, you don't need to go to college to get a job. Point out where I said you did. I know it makes getting a job easier, and a job that supports a family easier.
No, he's saying that people who don't have enough to get by aren't always like that because they're lazy.
This. I always laugh at the idiots who buy expensive cars, a large house, and have 8 children then complain how they need welfare because they can't get by.

Maybe if you can't afford a family don't have one?
