the thing I don't understand about american right wingers is that they are absolutely fine with have tax funded fire/police/education services (and other things like the military) yet are terrified of government funded healthcare.
That's because they think that freedom means that you're free to die from diseases you'd get treated for in a civilized country because your parents aren't rich. I'm just kidding, it's because they're all fucking retarded (see OP).
In the Deceleration of Independence it states that every person has the same fundamental rights to life, liberty and the pursuit, not the guarantee of happiness.
The Declaration is not a legally binding document, just a simple "fuck you, we're independent" to Great Britain.
The Declaration is not a legally binding document, just a simple "fuck you, we're independent" to Great Britain.
It's sad that you fail to see the importance of it.
okay you don't need to bitch about an article being biased just because it's from fox news, either
Yes, yes I do, because Fox News does what it wants, and says what it wants. Why can't I, exactly? Fox News is NOT a credible source and that needs to be said time and time again until people get the reasons why. Why don't we just let them run the world and fill every young child's brain with their opinion unabated? Because that's all it is, opinion. They're passing it off as 'news' and 'fact' and this is an injustice not only to the Public but also to the values they defend. If I see 'Leftist Weekly' giving an opinion poll on how '50% of voters think McCain is a fascist', I'd complain about that too. It's a democracy, and I shall bitch, moan, whine, complain, point out and belittle any source of 'news' that tries to feed us bullshit.
I wish he was socialist :frown:
uh okay but in this case it's just as credible as the other sources listed so why are you bitching about it
uh okay but in this case it's just as credible as the other sources listed so why are you bitching about it
Ok, let me put this a different way: Read all four sources. Tell me what is different.
Read all four sources. Tell me what is different.
why don't you do the same since the burden of proof is on you
why don't you do the same since the burden of proof is on you
What? The burden on proof is on us both. That's like saying 'I believe in God, you prove to me why he doesn't exist, if you can't, I'm on top!' But I'll tell you, just so we don't start a philosophical debate. The other three sources describe the results of the other polls they conducted, including the affects of partisan reporting in Obama's election campaign and if they've affected the poll (Note how The Wall Street Journal doesn't even give the 'socialist' poll result a mention. Oh, and what's this? The second source gives no mention about 'socialism' either. Simply facts and figures of the poll, discussing the pro's and con's of several opinion polls, much the same as the WSJ. The Atlantic DOES discuss the socialist poll (I suppose the others didn't even considering it 'news') and comments on discrediting the notion that Obama is a socialist at all. Fox News? What do Fox News report? "55% OF POTENTIAL VOTERS THINK OBAMA IS A SOCIALIST. YEP. THAT'S RIGHT GUYS, THE PUBLIC HAS SPOKEN" They didn't even mention ANY other poll or try to analyze the facts of the poll. That is why Fox is NOT a credible source, because their reporting is biased. Being biased means your opinion and your reporting are invalid. This is true in peer reviewed material, in journalism, in historical evidence. So it's true here.
Do we... really, really have to degenerate to this?
Yes.

Republicans = bat shit insane.
Yes.
Carry on then.
Do we... really, really have to degenerate to this?
I wasn't saying that's who HE likely was, just that his avatar makes me visualize someone like that.
I wasn't saying that's who HE likely was, just that his avatar makes me visualize someone like that.
Ahh. Nevermind then. I was too boiled up from rage to realise Goldmember humor. Carry on, carry on.
It's sad that you fail to see the importance of it.
it's important but it's not a legally binding document. It has no legal implications in the modern day and the absence of provisions for a service does not mean that the service is never to be provided. The Food and Drug Administration is mentioned nowhere in the Constitution or any of it's amendments but it is still a vital necessity to the health and well-being of our nation.
Unless you are one particularly stupid strain of libertarian, but yeah.
if i wanna get salmonella from my baconator it's my right as an american
if i wanna get salmonella from my baconator it's my right as an american
It's not like it matters much if we take the salmonella out. It's still a baconator.
i don't know how bacon on hamburgers became an acceptable thing. People freaked out about the KFC Double Down, but wendys just slipped the baconator by us
when i tried the double-down i could feel my lifespan decrease
