I'm actually for the legalization of weed. Basically out of everything except for a military and basic utilities.
what?
what?
I saw an opportunity to explain to you my ideology.
Except you didn't explain anything
lol
wow I'm sure that reply took a lot of time and research to come up with
I honestly, honestly don't care. I didn't 'choose to argue with you', I wanted you to go away so I could seek his rebuttal about credibility. I wanted to learn something and gain an insight. I thought he was wrong, I provided proof, I wanted him to answer to see his reply. I'm not trying to hide behind opinion, or repressing myself into believing I'm right and you're wrong. I'm not saying you're wrong. I don't want to rebuttal you. You know how you're in a bar, and you're having an interesting conversation with the guy opposite, then somebody sits at the table and makes a comment about something you said? Yeah, you're like that guy. I don't care if I was wrong, it's not important. If this was a thread about philosophy, the burden of truth, etc, I would care. But the fact is, I wanted an answer. Now that I've provided him with one, I wanted a return argument. Instead all I get is this silly hooking on a comment I made. That is what is stupid. Simply let it slide and let the man talk, if he so wishes to. If not, then... well big deal.
you see this would be a decent post if you didn't actually attempt to argue that point. you are the guy who after being proved wrong repeatedly says 'i don't care!' and that says a lot about you. furthermore, in the vein of ridiculous analogies with no bearing on the conversation. you know the guy who keeps bringing up an argument he made an ass out of himself in? you know, the one who brings it up continually even after his supposed opponent stops replying to him out of pity? the kind that references that argument even in another argument? you're that guy. i personally like my post better, as it's actually what's happening here. you keep talking about this argument as if it's still going on, whereas everyone but you seems to have the reading comprehension to realize it's over, and the other party doesn't care to continue it. and as a final aside, once again, the burden of proof is not limited to philosophy. it's valid in the very argument you seek to continue. and if i recall it ended slightly after you showed you had no clue what the phrase meant.
wow I'm sure that reply took a lot of time and research to come up with
Either make a respectable argument, or stop shitposting.
If you want to continue this little 'chat' and be a big man and put me down, rapping me in the ass with American Truth and America Justice, then don't. I'm not interested, nobody in the thread is interested. This is about Fox.
what the fuck does this have to do with anything? american truth and america justice? are you on crack? and i dunno, for your claim that nobody else is interested there's quite a few comments. my favourite is the one telling you to take a debate class. i would be proud if i inspired you to clean up your act. :)
Go and watch Fox News for a month. Then read the news from Aljazeera. Compare.
I think i'll try this
Either make a respectable argument, or stop shitposting.
implying that "lol" and "I don't care this isn't philosophy class" are respectable arguments and not shitposting
wow I'm sure that reply took a lot of time and research to come up with
you're denying the bias of Fox... i mean, lol [editline]03:03AM[/editline]
I saw an opportunity to explain to you my ideology.
clarify, i didn't fucking get what you said
you're denying the bias of Fox... i mean, lol
I was denying any obvious bias in the article nice reading comprehension, buddy
SteelReal posted: TOGG
I'm actually for the legalization of weed. Basically out of everything except for a military and basic utilities.
what?
Your bog-standard glibertardian, basically. Nothing to see here mentlegen.
In the Deceleration of Independence it states that every person has the same fundamental rights to life, liberty and the pursuit, not the guarantee of happiness.
wow, i have never heard a person find a loophole in the DoI purposely... just wow [editline]03:06AM[/editline]
I was denying any obvious bias in the article nice reading comprehension, buddy
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh "Majority of Likely Voters Agree 'Socialist' Accurately Describes Obama" come on
you see this would be a decent post if you didn't actually attempt to argue that point. you are the guy who after being proved wrong repeatedly says 'i don't care!' and that says a lot about you.
I'm sorry, but I don't. What do you want to do about it?
furthermore, in the vein of ridiculous analogies with no bearing on the conversation. you know the guy who keeps bringing up an argument he made an ass out of himself in? you know, the one who brings it up continually even after his supposed opponent stops replying to him out of pity? the kind that references that argument even in another argument? you're that guy.
What, I made an ass out of myself in front of Facepunch? In front of the Internet? Who? You? Again, what do you want me to do about it? Nobody has stopped replying to me out of pity, all I see is one person whining about something somebody said on the Internet that was probably wrong, and one person who continuously shitposts instead of trying to argue about how wrong I am. I don't want to talk to you, leave me alone and let the other guy speak.
i personally like my post better, as it's actually what's happening here.
Urm, sure?
you keep talking about this argument as if it's still going on, whereas everyone but you seems to have the reading comprehension to realize it's over, and the other party doesn't care to continue it.
.... WHAT argument? I'm replying to you about you replying to me, who is 'everyone'? There about about five people in this thread. If the guy doesn't want to answer, then he DOESN'T, it's SIMPLE. STOP REPLYING.
you're denying the bias of Fox... i mean, lol [editline]03:03AM[/editline] clarify, i didn't fucking get what you said
Before I was speaking more of the useless social programs that liberals 'need' and result in us getting large tax increases.
I was denying any obvious bias in the article nice reading comprehension, buddy
There was plenty of bias in the FOX article. What are you talking about?
Before I was speaking more of the useless social programs that liberals 'need' and result in us getting large tax increases.
Like the massive fucking defense programme? that's not liberal
Before I was speaking more of the useless social programs that liberals 'need' and result in us getting large tax increases.
Universal Healthcare, Goverment funded Daycare, free schooling? How are any of these 'useless'? If the government legalized certain drugs and taxed them and cut the military budget, that'd help pay for it.
There was plenty of bias in the FOX article. What are you talking about?
point it out
Before I was speaking more of the useless social programs that liberals 'need' and result in us getting large tax increases.
specify which ones are useless
Universal Healthcare, Goverment funded Daycare, free schooling? How are any of these 'useless'?
free schooling is useless and only holds back children who want to learn
I'm sorry, but I don't. What do you want to do about it?
probably teach you how to lose an argument better
What, I made an ass out of myself in front of Facepunch? In front of the Internet? Who? You? Again, what do you want me to do about it? I don't want to talk to you, leave me alone and let the other guy speak.
what do you want me to do about this one? probably teach you basic reading comprehension and how to make an argument. also i would probably teach you how to not be such a whiny little child who keeps saying 'stop replying too me!! :(' if you don't want to reply to my posts, don't. i'm not your grade four teacher, and i'm not going to let your bullshit slide because you're unable to control yourself. .
... WHAT argument? I'm replying to you about you replying to me, who is 'everyone'? There about about five people in this thread. If the guy doesn't want to answer, then he DOESN'T, it's SIMPLE. STOP REPLYING.
the argument you made an ass out of yourself in. the argument you kept trying to restart with someone who has no interest in it. he already stopped replying to you. and once again, i'm not your grade four teacher. if you are unable to stop replying, you obviously have the self-control of a fourth grader, in addition to the reading comprehension skills and intelligence of one.
Before I was speaking more of the useless social programs that liberals 'need' and result in us getting large tax increases.
Like food stamps or unemployment? They sure aren't useless, brah.
point it out
Oh Jesus Christ, I did this earlier in the thread. That post you conveniently 'forgot' to read? The article places the complete and utter onus on the socialism poll, completely ignoring all the other polls conducted at the same time. It conducts no analysis of meaning of the poll, or the affect of partisan reporting on the results. It simply says 'People think Obama is a socialist'.
how is that biased can you answer me without being a douche
Bias - 'to cause partiality or favoritism' Removing the context and completeness of something in order gain something to it's own ends. That is what Fox has done. How could their article (In comparison to the others) not be bias?
Like food stamps or unemployment? They sure aren't useless, brah.
There are some basic utilities that should be distributed. I won't argue with you there.
specify which ones are useless
Are you aware of what went into the bailout bill ? No, of course you're not.
Bias - 'to cause partiality or favoritism' Removing the context and completeness of something in order gain something to it's own ends. That is what Fox has done. How could their article (In comparison to the others) not be bias?
you could try quoting parts of the article and showing why they're biased
you could try quoting parts of the article and showing why they're biased
Read the entire article. Then read the other three sources. Contrast and compare. It's biased because of what it DOES NOT tell you, which are the flaws of the poll (And what the other polls say). It was singularly picked out and described at face-value and taken as fact. I have an A Level in Media Studies, and I can understand how these things can be confusing, but the evidence is pointed out by the factual deficiency and single-mindedness of the article. It's bias, pure and simple.
could you stop being a manchild
