Hey bud. Your country isn't really the ideal country either.
The US doesn't arrest people for speaking against the government. It's hardly even comparable. The fact that this post is considered witty is beyond me.
Yeah because the EU is so much better
Healthcare, genuine separation of church and state (done by uniting them and then suffocating church influence) and discouragement of religious agendas in politics. Yeah. EU is a hell hole compared to America. The worst part is when our politicians are straight with us. That really is below the western world. But i guess this is more true for Scandinavia than Europe as a whole. [editline]30th November 2011[/editline]
The US doesn't arrest people for speaking against the government. Some days, when it looks really bad over there, I genuinely fear that they could become a fully fledged Theocratic state at some point. Everything the state does officially is "before god". people get voted into offices based on how strictly they aim to hamper the lives of non-christians. Especially on the sexual and educational fronts. The press push this whole god-fearing thing. There's absolutely no place for minorities over there. There's not even room for the non-religious majority over there. In short. America is borderline Theocratic at times. Also focuses more on the rights of the organizations over the citizen. I like that Obama doesn't cram god in everywhere unlike Bush.
