I'm pretty sure you said his altruism needs to be called into question. Like he's secretly a horrible person.
well calling someone's altruism into question isn't the same as saying he's secretly a horrible person. trying to pigeon hole someone into saying what you want them to say isn't a good debate tactic.
ffs stop reporting this post, do you want me to double permaban him? quit it.
Yes, ban his very soul from existance!
how dare he want to protect children in america
believe it or not going to someone else's country and killing THEIR children isn't protecting your own. don't try to act like afghanistan & iraq were anything other than wars of aggression.
well calling someone's altruism into question isn't the same as saying he's secretly a horrible person. trying to pigeon hole someone into saying what you want them to say isn't a good debate tactic.
Haha, I'm sorry if I'm coming across more attack-happy than usual; it was an honest question because that's what it looked like to me. Even now you still haven't really made it clear what you mean, though.
believe it or not going to someone else's country and killing THEIR children isn't protecting your own.
Emphasis added. So, where are you getting this "killing THEIR children" thing?
Emphasis added. So, where are you getting this "killing THEIR children" thing?
Probably the amount of civilian deaths in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
Emphasis added. So, where are you getting this "killing THEIR children" thing?
there has been a shitload of civilian casualties in both wars. and i'm not trying to say that USA specifically kills children don't get me wrong, they make far more orphans than uh, reverse orphans?
believe it or not going to someone else's country and killing THEIR children isn't protecting your own. don't try to act like afghanistan & iraq were anything other than wars of aggression.
Except, we've protected so many more of their children. You know how many IED's and Minefields we've cleared out to protect the civilians in Iraq whom happen to wander into those areas, Quite a few. It's a pretty serious problem, many mine fields are left unmarked and some poor herder sees this field, thinks it's good for grazing and happens to stumble into the fact it's full of mines the hard way. Also the sad fact of war, PEOPLE DIE. It wouldn't be a horrible conflict that opens people's eyes otherwise. The sad fact of it is, no matter how you try to say we can settle things without war, without violence, the world isn't capable of it yet, the world is filled with corrupt and horrible people that are in charge. And until they are brought to reason, we can't have world peace, the sad fact of the matter is, war is inevitable for the foreseeable future. And I'm willing to die knowing I was part of a war that was part of the progress to protect the world's future generations and end the need for war.

Fuck, man...

I'd hardly call his obvious paranoia and iron fist style of brutal ruling not a factor for having minefields all over his country anyway, the the U.S didn't go into Iraq until 2003 while the Gulf war was in the 90's. Your argument of Iraq being full of mines being 100% due to the U.S intervention of the country cannot be the entire truth of the matter based upon not only this information but many of these fields were actually placed during the 80's in the Iran - Iraq war. Anyone who actually looks at the history of Saddam's rule would find conclusive evidence to support the argument that they couldn't all be due to the U.S's 2003 intervention. Some quick wikipedia sources as I don't have the exact text books and studies I read these in: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iran%E2%80%93Iraq_War http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulf_War http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Invasion_of_Kuwait http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iraq_War http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2003_invasion_of_Iraq
Fight the power man fight the power!!! other than maybe defending your home from people who don't give a fuck and want to kill everyone in your homeland? Maybe? Ever think of that?
If the world is really that black and white for you then congratulations, you are an idiotic child.
If the world is really that black and white for you then congratulations, you are an idiotic child.
this notion of defending ones home by attacking someone elses confuses me

They fucked Iraq by instigating Saddam, then got rid of Saddam and tried to clean up their problem.
America cleaned up its problem.
The same way some people think: All Christians are crazy fanatics, all republicans are stupid, all democrats are pussies, all cops abuse their power... ad infinitum. Some people just have an inability to think rationally and realistically.

you can't call assumptions dumb while operating off of an assumption. that makes you a hypocrite.
You're absolutely correct. However, my statement is not an assumption, it's true. Some people do think those things.
