It's coming to the Nexus S so it should do if Samsung get on it.
Well, I'd use a custom ROM anyhow. Good news though since they've the same hardware obv.
Since phones have become so thin, I am kinda wondering why no one has made a flip phone that had a screen and a screen instead the buttons. Many will probably disagree but I'd get one.
My professor still has and uses her RAZR. Yes she hasn't bought a new phone in nearly 8 years. In fact she's had the phone so long that when it broke she called Motorola and they gave her a brand new one for free for keeping it for so long.
The plastics used in modern phones aren't hard plastics for a reason, that makes them brittle as all fuck, which is noticeable when they are thin, instead they just flex a lot more. In a old phone, hard plastic was good as it could be thick, and had to absorb a lot of impact for the internals. A modern phone doesn't need as thick materials as the components are thinner and more flexible. So harder plastics get used less and less.
That I understand. Though for a device like a phone, a light and slightly flexible phone won't do it for me.
It won't, and shouldn't feel like it will "snap any moment" unless you are admitting you treat your devices like shit.
The point I was trying to make is that I feel phones shouldn't be flexing no matter what. It just feels extremely cheap. Even though I treat my phone like a baby, I'd like to have the assurance that it will stand up to hard environments that I may accidentally put it through. If I feel my phone bending/flexing, I will flip the fuck out. I was trying out my cousin's SGS2 the other day. It was so thin and had a little flex to it. I was even afraid to put it in my pocket. Even he thought the iPhone 4S had a better feel to it. It was just more solid overall. I guess if you want to make a really thin phone, you're going to have to sacrifice some aspects of the phone. Just what I thought on the matter.
Razr was my first phone. Damn good phone at that.
I like my stuff to both FEEL and actually BE durable. Talking about Nokia 3310 grade durable AT MINIMUM
I swear Nokia 3310s must be like reverse engineered alien technology or something. Those things are fucking INVINCIBLE. I have one that's fallen from a multi-story car park onto concrete (four floors I think), that's come flying out of my pocket and tumbled downhill along the road for like 10 seconds while I was cycling downhill - it's been through the washing machine, been submerged in a pool, been dropped onto the ground dozens, if not hundreds of times... even THROWN on the ground to demonstrate its strength: and it still fucking works - quite well, too. Oh, and one time I got drunk and dropped it into a bonfire. That's the most damage I've ever managed to do with it - some of the plastic at the top of the phone melted (the melted piece of plastic is maybe... 3 millimetres long, and a millimetre or two wide), but that's it - still works. [editline]20th October 2011[/editline] While it never fucking breaks, there is one annoyance with the Nokia 3310: whenever it takes a powerful impact (like when it's dropped 4 floors onto concrete) the fucking back pops off, and the battery comes flying out and you have to spend like 10 minutes finding it sometimes.
I love and still use the old motorola RAZR, this thing is a beast, it fell into a puddle, it got thrown into the floor, it fell numerous of time, yet it still works perfectly, with only tiny cracks on the back and it's front. never have I seen a phone that can survive that much damage.
My RAZR's battery cover doesn't close properly anymore because the battery is bulging. I'm putting up with it for now while I wait for Telus to get off their asses and release the Galaxy SII.
still, what is the advantage of having a phone so thin? mine is like 1.2cm thick and it's just perfect IMO
It looks nice and is nice to hold and stuff
Anyone notice how the image used in the OP looks like the nazi symbol?
Anyone notice how the image used in the OP looks like the nazi symbol?
Of all the threads, how did godwins law come into effect here?
I'd rather have a slightly thicker phone with vastly improved battery life and/or performance. Looking at you, Samsung Galaxy S 2.
It looks like it would snap in half if you so much as put it in your pocket too hard.
All these sweet phones coming out, getting one for xmas. So hard to pick

I still have my(and use) my krazer. I guess having a similar name will help me move on when I need too. I'd rather have that dip in the back, even if you could fill that space with more battery.
Anyone notice how the image used in the OP looks like the nazi symbol?
No, no it doesn't, and it's called a Swastika genius.
It looks nice and is nice to hold and stuff
' Super thin phones aren't nice to hold actually. It is why some people don't like them.
"20 years later!" modern smartphones give their owners papercuts.
I still had mine until a month or two ago when it fell out of my work locker. I just don't care for anything too clever. All I want is a list of contacts and a way to call them.
I've had 2 razr v3's. Slow as shit and could barely hold 300 messages. Both died at my hands.
I've had 2 razr v3's. Slow as shit and could barely hold 300 messages. Both died at my hands.
300? Mine maxed out at 45.
I meant a flip phone, not a DS style phone.
Seen that too, though that one was a concept demo.
Remember this?
Yes. I have that silver one. Almost six years old. Sue me. Fuck.
