thats what betas are for
right but there was no beta for crysis publicly released
right but there was no beta for crysis publicly released
there was the demo does that count
there was the demo does that count
no the demo was the final gold version
I think private betas do technically count as bug fixing, they find a good amount of glitches, bugs, and optimization errors and can fix them.
Well it's true, really.
[img_thumb]http://shareforus.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/home-theater-pc.jpg[/img_thumb] hey look a pc hooked up to a big ass flatscreen
Yeah but where are you going to sit? My argument wasn't really about the screen size, it was about the seating, and how if you're sitting on a couch or something, you're going to need some sort of flat surface across your lap, which does make it less comfortable. And I mean, I think the whole 'console VS PC' argument is kind of pathetic anyway, some people like to play games on a console, some people like to play games on a PC, just seems really petty to make arguments about it to me.
Its seems that only valve cares about the pc anymore, sad its because some people just dont how to use a computer
Blizzard is just a load of push overs then hey?
PC's do need more local coop games, I'm playing MicroMachines, Worms, Flatout2, StreetFighter4. Apart from those, I cant find any good party-play games for PC. Also, have an awesome Crysis video. 3 Years old and still looks amazing.
Yeah but where are you going to sit?
PC gaming is just typically too expediencies for normal people. Id rather buy a new xbox and know It will play every game that comes out for it without having to upgrade it every year. edit: everyone who rates boxes lives with their parents and has no expenses so they can afford a leet gaming PC.
My PC was worth 800$ and I bought it five years ago. I can still play every game that's come out without any problems.
I want co-op games to play with my friends on the PC too, cynadiem.
I've shown tons of people at college some of the PC games available and nearly all of them are dropping their consoles in favour of a decent gaming PC. These guys were hardcore MW/Halo players who have seen the light. Strangely enough, the game that changed the most minds was Minecraft. Damnit Notch, why did you make such an addictive game? Current estimates put 4% of western gamers as pirates. Not only that, but you, as a retarded and ignorant American, don't realize that console piracy is even more prevalent in other countries than PC piracy is. Go to Eastern Europe and it's easier to buy a pirate X360 than it is to buy a legit one. You think systems like Steam were designed to stop piracy? Pirates have nothing to do with it. Steam is there to stop used game sales. Look at the giant war the companies are waging against used game sales now. Come on guys, CEOs of gaming companies are no less likely to bullshit than CEOs of banks or car companies. They're business men, lawyers and politicians! They're experts at redirecting your attention.
Please shut the fuck up. You have no idea what the fuck you are talking about.
I wouldn't worry about PC gaming so much, with the avalanche of PC games coming in Q1 2011, we are all set.
Counter-Strike has been a successful game for years. Just cause it doesn't look like a blu-ray movie doesn't mean it's not good.
Try playing GTAIV then come back to me and say crysis is unoptimised.
You mean Saints Row 2.
You mean Saints Row 2.
Oh GOD. Atleast gta4 had euphoria. SR2 is total junk when it comes to optimization.
GTAIV is fine on PC for me.
GTAIV is fine on PC for me.
It's fine, but it could've been much much better.
the picture's obviously taken on a couch and you can just buy a controller are you dense
wow you seem quite aggressive, it's just a computer. No need to throw insults around mate. [editline]28th November 2010[/editline] you actually kind of proved the second half of my point there
There isn't even a need for consoles
There isn't even a need for consoles
Yep, but Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft need something to make money off.
GTAIV is fine on PC for me.
I can run Crysis on high with about 40 average FPS, GTA IV runs with about 20 fps average on lowest.
There isn't even a need for consoles
I think the first consoles cost as much a good personal computer at the time.
There isn't even a need for consoles
I highly disagree, good luck doing what the Wii does on the computer.
I highly disagree, good luck doing what the Wii does on the computer.
So you're implying that it would be impossible to adapt a motion sensor and wireless controllers to a personal computer
So if Crytek thinks consoles are ruining gaming, then why the hell are they making console versions of the new Crysis?
It is, good games' sequels being dumbed down for consoles. Look at what they did to Supreme Commander 2.
I highly disagree, good luck doing what the Wii does on the computer.
Already has been done.
It is, good games' sequels being dumbed down for consoles. Look at what they did to Supreme Commander 2.
the first supreme commander came out on the 360 as well
You mean Saints Row 2.
Oh god, don't remind me, FUCK. At least GTAIV has an excuse, it looks nice and has a great physics engine, but SR2 looks like a PS2 game and has less advanced physics than fucking San Andreas.
