I don't think he is.
He's implying there's a double standard; which there may be somewhat, but not to the extent he frequently outlines in his post.
The "double standard' if it exists is so miniscule it's not worth perusing as an issue in society until the the mass brunt of hate crime is dealt with.
holy hell man, I'm not tackling society, I'm replying to a specific poster about his specific post
or at least I was.
if it was any other poster (referring to lamar) i'd be inclined to agree, but with his vernacular on the subject and his posts relating to the trayvon case (traybots, being hilariously hardcore anti-trayvon supporters, posting any black on white violence threads etc) i find it hard to believe that he isn't a tinsey bit racist
Maybe. One thing I have been seeing on Facepunch lately though is that a lot of people are rather eager to label others in a nasty fashion (sexist, racist, misogynist, etc) without really considering how severe that accusation is. I try to detach what's being said from the person who's saying it; easier to be unbiased and less judgmental for me.
nothing, it's just being reported on more because it can sell to paranoid white people following the zimmerman case.
what isn't being reported on is the countless random acts of violence towards PoC all the time.

because a random act of violence against a white person is news. a random act of violence against a PoC is business as usual.
Not usually, that's why this is such a debacle.

i generally refer to a post or idea as oppressive rather than the person...except in cases where someone says something so idiotic or oppressive that the person cannot be labeled any other way.

And I think that's a perfectly fair way of looking at it. I've just seen people being called racists, sexists, fedora-wearing neckbeards in the same casual way that you'd call someone a jackass, which I find bizarre. Internet anonymity I suppose.
